  1. They definitely drive differently than our 850's and X70's! But if you can look past the poor MPG (19-22 mpg on the highway at normal speeds), they are reliable and pleasant. I love ours for the fact that you can just hop in, drive it, park it and never worry. We've put 25K miles, I've done oil changes, tires and a set of plugs. That's it. As for working on them, it feels very familiar and ours has not required anything odd. They are slow (but given their weight, no surprise there), the gas mileage is pathetic by today's standards but they are convenient, reliable and feel very familiar.
  2. Great read! I love the family affair, it should make for some good memories later. Nice purchase, hopefully the quirks are quick to fix. Not a fan of the headlights personally (eventhough I had some on the wagon for a while), but the sig picture made me smile.
  3. And ABC news. Like the caption said: Clinton can't escape himself.
  4. Travis: E-type convertible. Nice pics Carson!
  5. Agreed, I actually thought it was him until I read the post.
  6. Assuming the Jag turns out to be as nice as the owner claims it will be, we're shooting for low 70's. The Euro tanked, so we lost a chunk of business that way unfortunately. The car is a Euro-spec model, it would be very attractive to some of my foreign contacts.
  7. No Carlisle for you this year ? Man, Mike's not gonna know anyone there! I think the only OG/old men crew member is Paul (64P1800S).
  8. $12,000. V8, auto, new brakes, front and rear suspension, exhaust line and some other stuff. I drove it about 20 miles, it's the most fun I've had behind the wheel of a car in a few weeks! It's a 66 and from what we saw on the lift, it's rust free.
  9. I love the color on this one. Owner used a GM blue.
  10. Looks good. Nice of you to let the local senior citizens work on it too, I'm sure they appreciate it. Nice to see such a clean engine, looks good.
  11. You won't get any sympathy from any of us for your comments. Clearly the guy has been struggling with the decision and who he is for a long, long time. Why attack him, and why make it your business ? Let it be.
  12. Saw that this morning and thought: HTF do you think his wife reacted ?
  13. Most grocery stores will gladly let you take any and all boxes behind their buildings! What was in the box, is it damaged ?
  14. Pretty sure they're in Europe now. Sold them well, no regrets.
  15. LOL, and in true 80's French style, the car isn't running at the moment!
  16. Shamelessley whoring my stuff.
  17. Those wheels give me a woody. And I don't use this expression lightly.
  18. Erik: that's interesting. I did the whole IB thing in high school, loved it. Can't beat the class sizes, the extra credits in college (got done in 3 years) and the int'l mix. I wish there was more of that here, that's the one thing that I really miss in KY: it's not int'l by any means.
  19. Nice job Erik! I thought you ran a school, did you change jobs ?
  20. 90% sure those are my old TDR's. They were bought by someone in the NE to put on his black S40. Coming to my house to pick up a spare wheel doesn't count as a spotting!
  21. And yet people continue to shop there 24/7. Can't say there hasn't been enough issues brought out over the past 10 years.
  22. I'm going to celebrate by trimming dead limbs off some trees in the yard. I wish I could take the wagon to stretch its legs but I can't find the spacers I need to run the Comets. <_<
