  1. 10-4. They're having a huge tent sale this weekend too, I should be able to get everything I need for relatively cheap.
  2. Yeah, I think I agree with you guys. The Lemond was a REALLY nice feeling bike, I liked it much more than the Felt. I've been comparing the geometry of the 57cm Lemond against the 58cm motobecane and they seem pretty similar minus the fact that the motobecane is has a straight top tube which I don't really like. The compact design I feel is much more comfortable.
  3. So I stopped by another shop today, didn't make it over yesterday.., and they wanted to do a fit for me. So I said ok (much more in depth than what other shop did). Apparently I'm a freak of nature because I was off the charts on their scales. They fitted me to a 57cm Lemond and it was the hotness, felt REALLY nice. Apparently Lemond sizes aren't like most other brands and they fall in the "in between" category. I'm just at a crossroads now because they gave me a good deal on a Lemond Tourmalet, but I can get twice the bike with a Motobecane for less money. Which would you ride? 4. Yeah, just shove it in the project car and drive it up.
  5. Keep in mind, if you require a board to printed w/ your logo on it I have to haul it up there. ;)
  6. Yeah... The shop that sells Felt and Jamis is brand new, they just opened 3 months ago. They took their time to fit me on a bike, and feel somewhat obligated to buy from them now, but OMG the prices on bikesdirect are nuts! For the same price as the used Felt Z70(which is an average bike) I can get 4 times the bike. The motobecane 60cm frame seems like the best bet for me. The windors and merciers don't have as much info on the w3bz as motobecane does.
  7. Yeah, I rode a Felt 58cm Z70 and a Jamis ventura race 58cm and I felt a bit cramped on the jamis. The felt was much more comfortable, but I still think I could have been a bit bigger. I think I may go with a 60cm. The prices on bikesdirect.com are nuts! That Motobecane Sprint is looking mighty tempting.
  8. Oh, even more trendy! I plan on riding a lot, I want to eventually enter some races.
  9. QUOTE (matt b @ Mar 21 2008, 12:04 PM) Ultegra is great, but 105 has come a long way too. If you want to save a few bucks and don't plan on racing, 105 can probably fit your needs. I have 8 yr old Ultegra and unless I race again in the next 2 years, I'll probably get some 105 STI shifters to change mine since they were crashed once too many times. Yeah, that's the thing, I'm just not sure what direction I'll end up going. I want something that I won't have to worry about regretting.
  10. Merged the two bike threads together.
  11. Wife finally gave me the ok to buy a road bike. I was looking at a Felt F75, but a coworker has a 2 month old Felt Z70 in my size that he'd sell me for $800. I'm just not sure what I want, but I do know I want a bike I'm not going to out grow in 2 months like he did... I think I can get a better deal on a used bike w/ ultegra for the same price as the Z70. Going to head to another bike shop after work today to see what they have. Hopefully I'll have a bike by next weekend.
  12. theforgottenone suspended for 2 days for continuing to argue in a thread after I told him to stop.
  13. Always love you projects Johann, can't wait to see what's in store. :)
  14. Mesoam suspended for 1 day for posting a NWS image w/o properly tagging it as such.
  15. Early Saturday morning in the blue ridge mountains.
  16. Me? No, it's a Tamron 70-300.
  17. We've been getting a lot of complaints about NWS avatars lately. I've been removing them when I see them, but I can't see every post and every avatar on the site. If you have a NWS avatar, it will be removed and we will not be notifying you, we just don't have time to write everyone a nice heart felt message. So, if you see it's gone, it was removed. DO NOT put the same avatar up again, and do not replace it w/ another NWS image. If you're not sure if the image would be deemed NWS, then don't bother. It's pretty easy to figure out what is NWS, bouncing boobs, boobs, chicks walking up stairs in a thong, butt shots, extreme gore etc.. It's not rocket science. Every time we remove a NWS image from your avatar, we will warn you in your warn log that is only viewable by moderators and after 3 offenses you will be suspended. If you don't like this, too bad. There is absolutely no reason you need to have NWS images in your avatar. Life will not be over if you cannot have your favorite porn stars boobs bouncing visable everytime you post. So, lets review, no NWS images in your avatar, they will be removed and we aren't going to tell you(unless we feel extra nice), after 3 offenses you will be suspended.
