  3. I'd be a lot further if I had a dealer near by... Closest dealer is an hour away, and two hours away from where I work. So I have to keep ordering items. Lost a flywheel bolt so I'm stalled until I get another one. They're an odd size too, like m11x1.25. :angry:

  5. Because that's how I roll. In it's current state, the center of gravity is too far off to use the one on the PS bracket. Also, when you pull the trans, you have to support the engine from equal lateral positions, the hole on the PS bracket is good for nothing but pulling the motor.
  6. it's just a couple pieces of architectural angle w/ some holes drilled in it. You can get it at any hardware store. On one side I have it drilled for the head bolts and the other side I have it drilled for the plug cover bolts. I made them last year when I pulled the trans.

  8. Cyl walls got washed w/ fuel, plus 10*F weather, boost in low RPM, and 87 octane...

  11. ok, well here. Did some powder coating today at work.
  12. For the ARP 2000 bolts I used, they recommended 47 ft lbs. I just found my paper that came with the rod bolts. please not part number in quote header.
  13. huh? ..and what about the break in? You talking about procedure? I'll be bringing it to temp then dumping the oil and filter, repeat but run for a bit longer, then run it for few hundred and dumping again, then dump again at another 1k or so. next weekend most likely.

  17. i realize this, that's why, sans crank, the rotating assy is new. Cyl walls were out of round by 2 mils, stepped up to OS1. Crank Journals are/were in great shape. Just picked everything up, machinist asked how many miles were on the car and he was impressed because of how well everything mic'd out and looked for the mileage it had.
