  1. I have pics for an x70 double din install, does VS need one?
  2. I'm gonna guess driving with the dead bearings did it. Agree that replacing the sensors should be cheap and easy, we just don't have time to do it during the school year. Maybe over winter break, but its not my truck so i don't know for sure. The weird thing is that the truck drove fine right before the bearings failed. He hit a bump on the highway, then had a problem with the brakes right after, and immediately stopped driving the truck. Then he called me for advice, and so on. He's not an idiot The brakes were replaced in August, bearings failed in September, so the brake replacement was not due to bearing failure. That being said, the ABS problem very well could be, and probably is.
  3. HAHAHAHA well now that you mention wheel bearings. One day he tells me that his truck started to have some serious brake issues. I hop in and take if for a quick spin. It was really bad--I had a hard time stopping from 10mph in a straight line on dry pavement. I tell him to limp it to a shop, that it was beyond my capabilities to diagnose/repair. And I told him that it sounded like he had a dying wheel bearing or two. He takes it to the shop, and calls me:"...so about the wheel bearings. They WEREN'T THERE....". They had completely fallen out when he was driving at some point. So in conclusion, he has brand new wheel bearings on both front wheels. Also, as of this past August, it has new pads and rotors on all 4 corners, and the front has new calipers too. The indy mechanic that repaired the wheel bearings here in Troy said he has a problem with the wheel sensors, but he doesn't have the $$ to fix them at the moment, so he just deals with the ABS pulsing every so often.
  4. My friend just showed me this a day or two ago. He's been having problems with the ABS sensors on his Ranger, so sometimes his ABS kicks in for no reason when stopping (on dry pavement) He thought the picture seemed appropriate
  5. This thread might be of some help to you. http://v70r.com/forums/topic/19190-lowering-spring-options-other-than-volvo/page__st__40
  6. Ok definitely don't know anything about those. That's not a US market vehicle, so whats with the Cali plate? I think I saw pictures of that BMW at Gatebil, but maybe I'm thinking of a different one....... Oh, and I'll leave this here
  7. The R32 in that wagon was actually removed from the owners AWD, twin turbo-R36 swapped R32 Golf. http://speedhunters.com/archive/2011/10/24/car-feature-frankensteins-monster.aspx
  8. Or just ask him to include the cover letter on his TPS reports....
  9. I'm in Troy. And the forecast is for more snow tomorrow. Kinda glad I don't have a car right now, so I don't have to worry about clearing it off. I do have a nearly new set of snow tires at home ready to go though......
  10. Well, its October 27th and its snowing. Not sure how I feel about this.

  15. Yup. I personally don't like them, but I'll give points for the rest of the car being so cleanly executed.
