  1. I heard an Abba song on the radio today. So I quickly reached for the Abba antidote, which is? Prince, of course!

  2. - Has given his notice. Anyone looking for a huge and gorgeous 2 storey, 2 bedroom apt in the Glebe for August 1st? E-mail me.

  3. - Two TV antennae met on a roof, fell in love and got married. The ceremony wasn't much, but the reception was excellent.

  4. wants to thank all Allied soldiers, and their families for their sacrfices made, in memory of this day, June 6, 1944. It's D-Day. Remember those who gave it all so you have the freedoms that you do today. It didn't come cheap.

  5. "Pray to Joe Pesci. Same odds of getting what you want by praying to God. Fifty-fifty. " George Carlin

  7. True. There are tons of internal scandals that don't get much play here (the west) though. The "soy sauce fermented from human hair" thing comes to mind. The collagen harvested from executed prisoners is a good one too. It will be interesting to follow along with Geely's adventures, for sure.
  8. My drop down menu is also stuck open and my post editor is missing all the options that normally appear above the text field. Clearing the cache doesn't seem to help. XP sp3 Firefox version 3.5.2
  9. Ok, placing your misdirected anger and judgement aside for a minute, I agree with your views on education, but how do you figure that the HDI isn't using "healthcare access and other factors" in it's calculation? It's stated in the mandate that they use those exact items, among other things in their calculations? Education may (in your view) be the main drag-down, but (access to) healthcare is still right in there. Discuss.
  10. They already have, in a number of ways. Thinking you are the best and being the best are two different things. Most Livable Countries The UN Human Development Index is calculated using various indicators for quality of life, such as health indicators and access to healthcare services, life expectancy at birth, nutrition levels, education and literacy levels, access to basic needs such as water and sanitation, and so on. It also takes into account GDP per capita in terms of Purchasing Power Parity and percentage of the population living below the poverty line. # 1 Norway: 0.963 # 2 Iceland: 0.956 # 3 Australia: 0.955 # 4 Canada: 0.949 # 4 Luxembourg: 0.949 # 4 Sweden: 0.949 # 7 Switzerland: 0.947 # 8 Ireland: 0.946 # 9 Belgium: 0.945 # 10 United States: 0.944 # 11 Netherlands: 0.943 # 11 Japan: 0.943 # 13 Denmark: 0.941 # 13 Finland: 0.941 # 15 U K : 0.939 # 16 France: 0.938 # 17 Austria: 0.936 # 18 Italy: 0.934 # 19 New Zealand: 0.933 # 20 Germany: 0.93 # 21 Spain: 0.928 # 22 Hong Kong: 0.916 # 23 Israel: 0.915 # 24 Greece: 0.912 # 25 Singapore: 0.907 # 26 Portugal: 0.904 # 26 Slovenia: 0.904 # 28 Korea, South: 0.901 # 29 Cyprus: 0.891 # 30 Barbados: 0.878
  11. You don't have to understand it, you can't get one anyway :-) "People get caught up in... oh it is Gods will... but people are idiots...it is a shame". I didn't have to change much of that previous sentence to hold a mirror up to your flawed logic. Careful who you call idiots, we are all living under the same sun, don't forget that. That's all I'm going to say about this, because this issue will never end, as long as different people have different spiritual views. And they should, because NO ONE really knows the full story anyway. NO one. It's all conjecture.
  12. As long as the mega-pharma-glomerates are in bed with Gov't, that's the way it's going to be. Use your vote wisely.
  13. Welcome. I've been buying parts through Nick/FCP for many years now, and never once had an issue. I'm very glad to see that you are growing, especially given the current market conditions in your country. All the best, and keep up the good work.
  14. I'm a bit reluctant to get into all this, it's a huge subject, but anyway; The second amendment was created during a time of war. There was a need to arm citizens at that time legally for the duration of the war. Up to that point, it had been illegal for the common citizen to own a firearm. The original intent of the writers was to remove the amendment after the war was done. That never happened. Ooops. Now the US has THE worst gun culture issues on the planet, and it continues to worsen. I have no idea how to solve the issue, but giving everyone easy access guns sounds good, go for it. </sarcasm>
  15. America . Fuck yeah. Keep rollin', you'll figure out whats wrong eventually.
