To an extent, yes. The Mariners are the obvious example of that. But we really drew some bad luck with Sexton, Beltre, and Cirillo who were all obviously on steroids before coming here. And Housh was never going to be good here because he didn't have a Robin to his Batman ego. Chad Ochocinco took much pressure off him in Cinci and when he came here, his ego exploded and he couldn't do it by himself as the long "star" receiver. Rice has shown he can be good here, and if Montero works out I think it's fair to say our curse may have been reversed. DeMarcus Cousins may have some off-the-court issues but damn, he's a beast in the post.

Not exactly. After the Sonics down years in the early 2000s, they came back strong for a couple years with the Allen-Lewis combo and the Durant year. The Sonics were improving and would have continued to here.

Yea unfortunately you're probably right. The Coyotes aren't a very good team, but they are young. The Kings on the other hand are both young and rising. With Tyreke Evans and DeMarcus Cousins, they have a talented squad that could improve greatly in the future.

Nope. It will all be stadium related taxes including "admission taxes" and other little petty stuff. So if you go to a lot of game's you'll bear the tax, but there won't be extra taxes on the everyday taxpayer. That comes straight from the deal between Hansen and the Seattle City Counsel. Coming from a source close to Hansen, "the Stadium will pay for itself". Which is much like what Key Arena did (the one stadium that Seattlites are not paying for today). Don't believe me? Tune into sports radio 950 KJR at 2pm to see for yourself Yea we're getting the Phoenix Coyotes in all likelihood. They will play at Key Arena for 2 years until the new stadium is built. That stadium is going to go just south of the Safeco Field parking garage. Doubt it will happen? Hahaha bro, the plan is done and accepted. It's going up. All this is coming from good sources, btw. And if you don't trust me, tune into the radio at 2 today. There's a press conference to unveil the plan.

Quite true, they all do. Not sure what you mean by my choice is made. With 710, I could likely stay in Seattle. Might be a little harder. I'm going in to meet with 950 next week and 710 a few weeks down the road. So we'll see.

KJR is the "fun" station whereas ESPN is the "news" station. Either way I want to stay in Seattle...
