A system that doesn't encourage "free riding" for one. A system where you have to go to another country to have surgeries performed. I volunteered at a hospital in Bellingham (St. Joes) and 30% of the people who would come in for important surgeries (set broken limbs..etc) were Canadian, simply because the hospitals in B.C were too swamped with people coming in who had colds and other non-emergencies. The windfall of the Canadian health care system (which is great 90% of the time) is that the free rider problem is crazy! There's no incentive NOT to go to the doctor/hospital for any little ache or pain.

it's a symbiotic relationship... we need you, you need us.. and don't even get me started on canada's healthcare...
