(note to all, I originally did this as a myspace blog...just figured since it was car related I'd post it in here as well Now, this is only of mods I am contemplating doing, of course getting the car running incredibly beautifully stock is my first priority before I start playin around with things. But...I just wanted to throw my so-far wish list out there so we can all be shocked and amazed at what I wish to do to my volvo. Tinting and stereo. The stock stereo sucks. hands down. It does not

Well, it's Friday 4-20-07 and I wanted to take my 850 to work. Especially after I've finished installing the new MOMO steering wheel & shift knob. However as I left the house & looked at the driveway, my sister has blocked the driveway exit with her Land Rover. STUPID SISTER of mine! I wish she'd park on the street like a normal person. I hope she gets a ticket soon for parking the way she does. Well I guess it's better off that I didn't drive the 850 since I still need to do a tune up.
 This sucks! I'm out Sunday getting groceries @ Safeway. When I return to my car I notice like 5 little nicks on the passenger side where I shopping cart has scratched & chipped paint of. A$$holes! I thought my tan colored Volvo would be left all alone. I guess not. Now to get it painted when i get some $$$.
Sorry to keep you guys hanging. Just I have some things at work that are creating 16-18 hour days for the past couple months. I have been working it piece meal when I can. So as you know, I took that damn dashboard out again. I hate that damn dashboard. I almost gave up on that damn dashboard. The tabs broke again and the upper trim near the windshield is cracked and breaking (on that damn dashboard). I actually have a good dashboard from a '98 S70. Much better construction and material
So I am sitting here trying to come up with an easy to follow photo editing guide and a window pops up telling me I have email. I toggle over to Thunderbird and what do I find? The first 5 lines to Walden Pond followed by a lone link to "buy cialis". FINE. <DELETE> I am used to this kind of low blow marketing. What I did not expect was to click back over to volvopeed and find a new member asking about half shafts only to reply to himself under another username "foud cheepe ones here
Wednesday night and its 1 am. I just got finished with a few hours under my dash installing the clutch master cylinder. I've been procrastinating on this for weeks if not months so I have I've made a personal breakthrough here. Had to get under the dash unbolt the brake master... then wedge the clutch master into position, then bolt the clutch master from under the dash and finally rebolt the brake master. Simple huh? I don't wish this task on anyone. My hands are torn and my back is killi
Ok - last weekend I pulled the dash again. As I said, I wanted to re-do some of the wiring and run more power into the cabin so never have to think about getting through the firewall again. Now I can run a fuse block inside the cabin and power things. First I ran three strands of 10 gauge through the harness assy and into the cabin. Conveniently a bit of the fuse block was already broken down in the corner and allowed me perfect space to drop down into the cabin. I then mounted a distribu
as a follow up to the last entry - the electrical portion of the ignition switch didn't solve my instrument panel light problem. Went to dealer to get a new rheostat switch . . . $177!! as i had it out i dropped it too, breaking the slider like a knucklehead. I won one on ebay for 8 dollars, but i am suspicious that when it comes it won't fix the problem. I did the cabin filter last weekend & ended up having the fuel filter done & seat back cable w/ an oil change. Really didn't need to
I changed plans on the gauges locations, stereo, etc. So, I want to re-wire everything correctly. Plus I need to loosen the master brake cylinder to get the clutch master installed. Much easier without the dash, etc. So - I should have everything back in a couple of days or so. Scott C.
