yours is N/A...so I dont see why regular would hurt, but I've seen that some companies that re-map chips suggest that you run premium, when i was looking for a chip for my old '87 BMW 325iS they said I would have to run 91 or higher because the tuned ecu assumed you were running that or higher, but that was BMW and this is volvo...I would run what the chip tuner suggest...or you could just thow out a few dollars, run the higher octane, and be safe

Don't worry, I'm more rice because I modify a Volvo that's not even accepted within it's own group of people. I spend time on my car so that my peers have things to lash at me. I tell people I love Volvos, but in reality, I receive no love in return. I defend my Volvo, even though it's defending it against my own.

Dude, I love your car MyNessas.... See, you picked a theme and carried it out. As long as a theme is carried through the car and everything flows together then its all good. I think the main problem w/ the red s40 is that everything is quite piecemeal. Now everyone gets flamed from time to time... even myself.

Now on the whole spoiler thing, that spoiler is meant for a car with very straight lines, like an evo or a STI. To have it on a S40 would not make sense due to the fact that the S40 is a bubblie car. Much like my C70, I wouldn't put that on my car because it wouldn't look good, not because its 'rice' or that I would get flamed. In fact the flaming is half of the fun of doing something outside of the box. You get to see all the people that are too stuffed up to experiment. I plan on doing a spoiler on my car sometime in the near future... however I gaurantee it'll be low and sleek and have a good curve to it, following the lines of the car.

That is all... and kidoes... be nice, we are all one big family here. Wether or not you can beat a S40 w/ your T5 is for you to find out on the track. I am sure we can all learn from each other.

although there are a few very cocky people on here....I like this forum...its full of good people who know their volvos...being an ex supra owner i seen way worse forums (like supra forums....the worst forum on the planet, everyone there is rude, the mods want to show their butts, and everyone thinks they are awesome cause they have a supra)...this message board is one of the best I've been on...the people here are almost as good as the people on turbo dodge.com...lol...I have to say, the people on td.com are the nicest people by far

but if you dont like it here...and dont like being a part of this forum...why come here and make matters worse...let the guys have their fun...and they will eventually stop making fun of the car and this thread will go where all threads go after they get old....but the more you guys come back and antagonize (sp?) the longer this thread will last

the reason why you are getting so much stuff is because it looks nothing remotely like a european car anymore, and that kindof kicks you out of the group. its not because of the fact that you modded a s40, its that you shoved a bunch of mods on that didn't fit the car and that you come across like you have no idea of what a volvo should look like

i almost bought a black s40...but i decided i wanted an 850 or s70 really bad...well...i ended up with my 850 wagon...they are sexy enough in stock form...although i do have a few plans for it

none of that stuff you have on that car goes with the car...the headlamps and the corners are mismatched...the wing looks horrible on that car...it was made for one car and one car only...the Impreza...and downforce from that spoiler is just about as pointless on a s40 as it is on a civic...they are front wheel drive...and it prob never seen speeds fast enough to make downforce anyway

most of the "10 year old stock" cars on this site are infact not stock at all...the aftermarked mods done to them have been done with taste in mind....in other words...they are there because they compliment the car...they look stock to the untrained eye,they look like they should be on the car.... that spoiler wasnt made to compliment the s40's body style....the sti wing doesnt look like it should be on anything but the sti

As far as the spoiler goes, I have it on about half the time and off the other have. The downforce is noticable (obviously it is a big spoiler) and i like the way that is feels. And the suspension does have kinda a wierd stance in the back but that is what the H&R's give me and I have had other springs on there but this handles the best.

-On a side note, I think that it is funny that most of the people haten drive stock cars that are 10 years old.
