I have zero input on ferries or quality of schools. That said, I hope you can deal with the lack of sun for 75% (total generalization) of the year. It can be pretty depressing for a lot of people. On the bright side, it never gets very cold here, even in the middle of winter. Dropping into the 30's is considered very cold.

The current hold music for the WA DOL is Adagio for Strings (That horribly tragic theme song from Platoon). Hahahaha

Anyone looking for a fairing? I'm selling the one off of white car, $60.
Thule? I'd be interested if it is.
Anyone know of anyone selling a cheap-ish wagon? I'm thinking of getting a dog and don't want to have it fuck up my car. I might grab a 4.0 this weekend though.

I realize this is question depends on the person, but is rebuilding an engine something someone with fairly basic/novice car knowledge can tackle? I'm wondering if I should buy an engine lift and find a junk yard engine to build up in my own time, but I'm not really sure where I'd start. The most I've ever done is a PCV replacement - I haven't even done a timing belt change.

Hey guys, I wanted to stop in and say that I have gotten a job at Sports Radio KJR that will be every day through September 4th. While I'm working in my dream workplace, it also means I will not be able to attend any coming events such as the Port Townsend Cruise, IPD, or the Leavenworth Drive. I'll miss all of you and your filthy cars. See you in late 2013 or 2014!
Congrats man.

I'm going to Portland on Monday and coming back Tuesday if anyone needs something brought up or down. Will attempt to not get arrested this time.

Cut the dangling tweeters off of my rear door speakers - no more rattles! About the level of effort I'm willing to put into car audio. Hahaha

I need a fairing for mine too. Steve, sell me that shit.
Also, maybe you were right about Georgetown being the ghetto. Some presumably meth'd out hobo just tried to fight me out back of my work. He even threw his hobo bags down on the ground hahaha.

Come on up, Phil. You know where I live. Not looking forward to buffing both cars, but I know they'll look great once done.
Pfff screw you, you come here. I got plenty of polish and wax. My car had been needing a polish badly for a while now, XXX is just a good excuse.
-
Speaking of Sunday, I need to start cleaning now.
Ditto. I might polish my car on Saturday. Borrowed a friend's griots rotary buffer.

Anyone know if the service light is thrown by the dash itself based on the odometer or is it the ecu? Not that it really matters, neither are original haha.

Non volvo content and I doubt this is real but I keep passing by this Xterra and had to snap a pic. There is what appears to be a submersible vehicle of sorts on top with two pontoons with propellers and a periscope/snorkely thing on top. I guess the guy is probably just going for a yellow submarine theme, but I have visions of it driving into water and having a buddy shove off from the roof.

Damn, it's foggy as hell this morning. Flipped on my rear fogs like a boss, closed my garage, then noticed one of my front fogs is out. Womp womp.

Moved within biking distance (lol) of work and patiently waiting out the outcome of my "ticket".

Pfft. I could use a 2nd set of wheels for winter wheels, etc. :PI sent you a link the other day for a set of Titans...... I didn't hear back from you about 'em, figured you weren't terribly interested. Your Volans going on my car then?
-
Haha I was thinking sway bars or titans. Thanks for that CL link, by the way.Gonna use all the new money to move out on your own? Find a place yet?
I'm aiming to move at the beginning of November - haven't really been searching too hard yet.

Got a raise today. Woo!

I work in Georgetown. You in the area often?Downtown Seattle isn't bad at all. Venture out a bit further to Georgetown and you'll see why our roads suck so much.
And yes, the roads here are horrendous. I don't think I could ever do coilovers with the road conditions around here.

I'm really impressed with the work on the bumper. You've given me some hope that I might be able to repair mine.
