  1. I have zero input on ferries or quality of schools. That said, I hope you can deal with the lack of sun for 75% (total generalization) of the year. It can be pretty depressing for a lot of people. On the bright side, it never gets very cold here, even in the middle of winter. Dropping into the 30's is considered very cold.

  2. Anyone looking for a fairing? I'm selling the one off of white car, $60.

Thule? I'd be interested if it is.

Anyone know of anyone selling a cheap-ish wagon? I'm thinking of getting a dog and don't want to have it fuck up my car. I might grab a 4.0 this weekend though.

  3. I realize this is question depends on the person, but is rebuilding an engine something someone with fairly basic/novice car knowledge can tackle? I'm wondering if I should buy an engine lift and find a junk yard engine to build up in my own time, but I'm not really sure where I'd start. The most I've ever done is a PCV replacement - I haven't even done a timing belt change.

  4. Hey guys, I wanted to stop in and say that I have gotten a job at Sports Radio KJR that will be every day through September 4th. While I'm working in my dream workplace, it also means I will not be able to attend any coming events such as the Port Townsend Cruise, IPD, or the Leavenworth Drive. I'll miss all of you and your filthy cars. See you in late 2013 or 2014!

    Congrats man.

  5. Non volvo content and I doubt this is real but I keep passing by this Xterra and had to snap a pic. There is what appears to be a submersible vehicle of sorts on top with two pontoons with propellers and a periscope/snorkely thing on top. I guess the guy is probably just going for a yellow submarine theme, but I have visions of it driving into water and having a buddy shove off from the roof.

  6. Downtown Seattle isn't bad at all. Venture out a bit further to Georgetown and you'll see why our roads suck so much.

I work in Georgetown. You in the area often?

And yes, the roads here are horrendous. I don't think I could ever do coilovers with the road conditions around here.
