Wife went to Jiffy Lube to get her oil changed. They said that her fuel filter was rusty and wanted to change it for $79. lol, she called me of course, I told her to tell them know. I can get a MotorCraft for $10 and half an hour of my time. I hate Jiffy Lube but they do cheap oil changes for her car.

Sometimes they dont change the oil at all. I'd be careful, I got monkeyed over by them once

Lawyer mode. That's what I call it when you can just tell stuff is the way it is because of lawyers or fear of litigation. My Chevy is awful about lawyer mode. Memory seat functions only work in park, same for the adjustable pedals, the touchscreen nav functions are severely restricted while moving over 5MPH, and lots of other B.S. like that. And you just know it is because someone will plow through a crowd of people and blame it on the memory seat went nuts or whatever feature that they didn't understand. The trouble is the idiots can kill us too but I still hate lawyer mode!!!

That stuff pisses me off to no end. The only thing that is worse are the people that are the reason its there. Whoever is messing with the seats at 75mph through traffic and not watching the road, crashes, and then sues because of the seats should have their kneecaps shot.

Took the car to get the alignment fixed after changing the left control arm last week. Lower skirt has to come off to clear the alignment rack, so i just pulled the whole bumper, it's quicker

On the way home, I did a hard 3rd pull & got a massive cloud of smoke out the back of the wagon, I let off but the cloud continued. Pretty soon I could tell it was coolant. I had a 2 mile downhill stretch, so I coasted down the highway & got off, through two green lights & into the Volvo dealer parking lot. After the smoke cleared, I found that the heater hose off the block ruptured.

The hose can be removed in about 3 minutes, fortunately it clears the turbo inlet.

They didn't have it in stock, so I got a ride home & picked up some spare hoses to make a splice until the new hose arrives Friday

Turns out the IAT & Accel logging is due a failure in the used LMA-3, I went over all the wiring & sensors, then plugged my old one back in & they both came back to life. I'll just have to look for another external MAP sensor for logging.

Lucky. And it looks like its baring its teeth (FMIC) in the first photo. lol

Makes sense, but like all of us he probably gets bored and goes for more lol.
