Gas prices didn't change here over the past week, so Rita has had no effect so far, at least in the NW.

Before Katrina, Gas was a crazy-at-the-time price of about 2.10/gal. Then Katrina came through.. rocketed all the way up to 3.29/gal. Went back down to reasonable levels of 2.50/gal before Rita came, and ever since Rita it's been about 3.10/gal here.

Forgot where I read it, but supposedly the Southeast has the highest gas prices in the country right now.. whereas they used to be the lowest.

You think you're obsessed

Look at me, I don't even own one yet, and I'm a member on 5 different Volvo related forums, am planning a meet, have a bedroom loaded with Volvo related things from an alarm clock, a set of mugs, posters, pictures, newspaper articles on the walls. Small models of the 960, 740, 240, 850, C70, V70, S70 and S60, personal drawings of the Evolve S60R (Lazer blue), a Volvo key chain attached to my house key, a Volvo back pack, videos, lights, emblems, and a 6th sense (i.e. have the ability to notice them instantly even when they're barely within my vision. I could be looking at something in the opposite direction, hear the engine, and turn around just in time to see it fly by. )

I think every Volvo owner should go through this kind of intense training before they get their keys.. Brickster Boot Camp, if you will. Anyways, keep up the dedication man. Hope your C70 comes soon.
