  2. Welcome, of course!

Well, this is the one benefit of a poor economy... Companies are getting creative and serious about change. Tough times lead to innovation through necessity and I'm glad to see you guys are stepping up your game.

Remember actions speaker louder than word. When I have read threads that show price comparisons between Factory Volvo Dealers who sell genuine at the same price others sell aftermarket for, honestly who you going to buy from. Thank God for Chill's Sig if i never saw it I would be lost.

  3. I believe if you take advice you would be heading in the right direction. If you send out test parts from different manufactuers as stated earlier in the thread. Then we reviewed them and gave it a yay or ney that would help, if their are repeated problems than dont sell from that manufactueur, as I have learned that is anything assembled in china last no more than three months tops. The axle problems were due to the supplier you were selling that had the spline problems that why they were popping out. Truth be told I would not even buy a newer Volvo as my friends who have Volvos has stated because Ford turn them into a unreliable Company i am with you on the newer cross reference issue. My brother owns a S60R and the part longevity is not their anymore plus they due this thing were they change most of the parts mid through the model year, so it is a pita making sure you got the right one for almost every year when before it was for a couple year run for vin cutoff. He will be getting rid of it when the warranty runs out. If Ford gets rid of Volvo in the recession I fear they will be at the same spot Saab is right now, so really I dont know how much better parts businesses will be doing anyway, auto industry is one of the hardest hit and most shakiest but if you are loyal to your customers and sell reliable aftermarket parts as well as oem its a win-win. My friend owned a local parts chain and got out before the walls came tumbling down luckily. My advice too you is take cues from your customers and when they say a part is junk dont sell that manufactuer instead of just resending another one because no one wants too do the job twice especially aftermarket spring seats etc where time is of the essence. I also remember when I bought the Purple upper torque Rod bushing for my 96 850 it was the best one. A couple months later I went to buy it again for my other Volvo and it was pictured on your site but you sent me a different design black one which was junk. When I questioned that i did not recieve what was pictured you said you switched suppliers and would send another one, which was the black one the design mold was completely uneven and flawed from that supplier. I have not had any problems with the purple one. I had a whole slew with black one and i ended up going to dealer. Its problems like that which really made me mad. As stated earlier I like to know manufactuer and what I am recieving is the same as in the picture and time and time again it was never as stated. When i went to eeuroparts in the interim, I always got the brand name and part as pictured. Peace

  4. Unfortunatley we are not done. When a problem like this arises we take it very seriously- besides I don't let things go. I do see that a majority of your previous posts are directed at our company- FCP sold themselves out to China, A strut from FCP went through the hood, a control arm from FCP came apart from the casting, FCP is substituting substandard parts, FCP is unethical etc etc. If you are going to make these claims, at least give us the courtesy of substantiating them for us. We entered this VS community knowing that not all would be praising us- which was expected. We are only human. Let this thread be your chance to express yourself. State your case and back them up with facts. Allow others to hear both sides and give us a reasonable action we can take to work towards a solution. We will not accept however outrageous claims towards a company that has only ever had its customers best interest in mind.

I am not sure if you are nick or the other person but their are numerous threads by other members with problems with your parts not just me, from Axles popping out while driving, to thermostats not functioning properly, the list goes on. Their are post that have been questioning of late if you are really sending the oem part when a buyer opts for it. If you see a high return rate on a part from a manufactuer discontinue it rather than selling it further, thats the key, it shows you are looking out for customers safety rather than your pocket book. If i cant trust a company I am not going to do business with them just do searches I am not the only one who has had problems and you will see that by research. that is why most members direct business over to Dw instead of you guys. you needed to solve these problems a few years ago but you kept selling the same flawed part. If you fixed the problems a few years back instead of resending the same manufactuer that had flawed designs your business would be booming, but when you list aftermarket as part supplier now instead of actual manufactuer that is decieving to say the least. I want to know what i am getting when I purchase an item. On my accident it happened a few years back so that is in the past.

  5. 1. We always give the option to go OEM, especially on control arms.

    2. If this were really true, why not call Nick or myself to speak to us on this matter. Why not get the police involved? Lawyers? If that happened to me I sure as hell would have!

    3. Do you know who the manufacturer was on the control arm you purchased from us at the time?

    4. We have never had a control arm ball joint pop out of the casting. Never seen anything of the sorts before.

    5. Who installed the products?

You are making a lot of vague comments that are unsubstantiated. Please provide some solid proof so we can get to the bottom of these issues and correct them.

I have bought aftermarket on my other car and no problems so that was the reason I chose aftermarket control arms at the time, its just the aftermarket suppliers you choose to use are substandard I thought I could trust your product like I have done on my other makes in the past with aftermarket parts. I dont want to get an a arguing battle with you, just giving my view and experience. I just choose to do my business with DW now, because I have learned oem is the way to go if you want longevity and safety. You should have stop selling Scan-tech along time ago for safety and quality reasons but you still choose to do so which states to me that you dont care about customers. I was not going to get laywers involved after my accident because that cost money and time, which i dont have, plus your defense attorney would state some mumbo jumbo that it was due to installation and not the product, I know how laywers work. I saw a member awhile back that had it seperate from the casting as well after my incident. Believe me if I had the time and money I would have gone to court when it happened, but the past is the past and yes a Volvo only indy installed them who has been working on Volvos his whole life so that was not the case. I wish you succuess just dont sell substandard parts, because it puts lives at risk. I said my peace and were done

  6. Speaking of that, just a heads up.

When we do offer the discount, it will only be to supporting members of VS. :P

I really liked doing business with you in the past but you guys substituted other brands than what it stated when i bought it,, now you state no brands which is very shady to me on most of your products it just states aftermarket in description. You guys have a great return policy but I dont like doing the job over especially three times especially on motor mounts. I find that to be very dishonest happened on hoses and control arms etc., which almost cost me my life. Their have been threads on part suppliers which you continue to use after many complaints. I have seen many post on volvoforums especially on the scantech products and they are no better than before, I have a friend in business industry and the reason you still sell them is because you make a bigger profit than selling oem so when you say 90 so percent improved thats not the case. My friend bought them last month and they only lasted a month so quality control has not improved. Luckily the dealers sell oem Volvo for alot less now and thats the only brand I will use. Nick I wish you much succuess with your company but please offer more quality manufactuers, not ones that could get you killed. I was driving down the road at 70mph when one of the aftermarket control arms you sold me popped out of the casting after 5k and almost made me hit another car but ended up hitting a concrete barrier, that is when I swore off doing any more business with you guys. Pleease sell oem on all item or at least crucial components like suspension and cooling etc. Best of luck

  7. They might as well call it an s-taurus, haha. I feel bad for the future of volvo unless a private company buys them, ford is getting more involved with each passing year in their parts suppliers and operations and will soon be a modified Ford with a Modified Price tag.

  8. That must be a common problem with the s70 and v70 because i have seen a dozen in the last few months that were burnt bad like that in salvage auctions so i dont think you the mechanic had anything to do with the fire and i was wondering to myself is their something volvo is hiding on this model that is why i have stuck with driving 850's and have not upgraded to the s or v 70
