egg VS bugatti.
Love the turbo whine :D

Confirmed. I need to rebuild a DB table
Gonna do that soon? :)

Nice little insight into the RNC engine, thanks Johann
Though, with a 77mm stroke and a 152mm rod, sounds like you have a high revving engine option over there, if you can get the valvetrain to keep up

anyone take differential equations?
Yeah, definitely a class you want a good professor for.

I hate that the only dealership in the area is closed on the weekend. I need new rear delta link anchors.. I was going to swap out my rear sway today, and noticed that both anchors are broken, although the bushing is still held in place somehow
-
there's more to it than that but that's the basic premise
I just try to keep the ISO as low as I can within the bounds of acceptable shutter speed at whatever aperture that gives the DoF I desire.

I noticed a little while back that one of my mirros says "objects in mirror may be closer than they appear" and the other does not. And I swear one has better color and visiblity than the other, but maybe I'm just making stuff up. I was curious which one is the original? Words, or none?
The one that has the text is slightly curved, the other is flat ;)

whats motronic?
He's the schizophrenic magical wizard who lives inside a silver box in our cars.

that makes it a little tricky to compare our maps
It wouldn't be so bad if we knew wtf motronic was doing behind the scenes :(

Or as an 8 bit number, 0-255 for 0 to 100% load? I'm not terribly familiar with how MS works. It could also be manifold pressure in kPa...
-
stuff can't edit my posts - that should say peak torque is where MASS FLOW/RPM is highest.
And following that logic, peak power is where mass flow is the highest.

Why the hell do the rear caliper seal kits cost so much. $120 each or so from the local dealer, $50 each from DW... $15 for the front
Now I need to hurry up and find a house to buy so I can get rid of the neighbors as well. I told my agent I like 'unibomber shacks in the woods'
I just reviewed everything that fits my criteria in RI/MA. Well over 100 listings, and picked 15 to send back. This week's going to be a busy one.
Busy, but fun. Looking at houses is awesome. You get pre-approved for a mortgage yet?
Dave, that's more than my monthly mortgage payment

Granted there is nothing new out there that I will want to buy in 10 years anyhow
Depending on how things pan out... http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/13/2014-audi-s4-and-s5-to-get-turbod-four-pots-massive-weight-red/

I have the original 10psi actuator. It's no good for 20psi, the actuator was too "soft" for the Apexi solenoid duty cycle to modulate properly.
Aha. I should have known there was a legitimate reason you went up to such a stiff actuator No amount of messing with the gain or other settings fixed the issue?
-
Do you have any wastegates sitting around that have a lower base pressure setting, and will work with the 20G? I'm personally not a fan of running such a high pressure actuator, and think that something like 10psi would be much better suited for the final pressure levels you are looking for.

Why is it that when I try to search around for what suspension alignment setups people have used for autoX and track use around here, all I can find is complaints about how camber/castor is out of spec?
The closest thing I found to a performance suspension alignment discussion was this: http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/index.php/topic/67355-car-set-up-cause-and-effect/

Don't forget that up until now he has been running with incorrect cam timing
Define "incorrect". While I agree that certain cam timing settings will yield more or less power, they should not cause the ECU to pull that much timing like was seen before.

No dude, rick spikes when you snap the throttle shut on shifts are normal, every system does it to some degree depending on how the decel fuel cut is programmed.
Figured, with the rapid changes in airflow, it makes sense to play it safe and throw a bit more fuel in there. But my point with the timing still stands. It's safe to say that there aren't misfires or any detonation, Hussein would notice that pretty quick, so it's something else. TT needs to hurry up with the updated map trace, I think that will answer a lot of questions, but probably raise a bunch more

I find it interesting that in all of tables, the AFRs and ignition timing look good before the shift, Yeah, it's a tad lean, but it's holding pretty steady, and timing is generally increasing with RPM, as it should. Then you shift, there is a rich spike after the shift, and then the ignition timing becomes less and less advanced with more RPM I know you're running a recirc setup, so it shouldn't be venting air anywhere during the shift.. Does the ECU enrich the mixture when it sees a shift event to be on the safe side? Even so, it still shouldn't be pulling timing too. I must be overlooking something
-
I would have SERIOUS reservations about putting the MAF after the turbo...
Did one quick log on the way home, weather is bad & I didn't want to take unnecessary risksLooks a lot better, timing isn't all over, and AFR is pretty much dead on 12 while you have the throttle wide open. How did it feel?

The black bumper spoiler looks good! Think you'll paint the rest of the trim to match it perfectly, or are you not gonna be that anal about it?
-
"A quick glance inside the car is enough for you to feel that this is a Volvo with a totally different dynamic presence than previous models. The racing track's dramatic yet harmoniously flowing lines can be traced in almost every interior detail. It's an interior for all your senses," says Jonathan Disley, head of interior design in the all-new S60.
Seriously?

I've had to dig three of my neighbors out of the parking lot so far, one of whom slid sideways into my bumper trying to get out. Unfortunately, no damage, so no R bumper yet
