  1. :)

So it's the same around the world? We have those '87 Mercedes Benz Diesels avoiding road tax.

Didn't you tell the officer you are using a historic lowering kit?

he said that's not the same suspension that came on the car. I said prove it.
  2. So I got pulled over today for having a lowered car on historic tags. Didn't know you couldn't do that. The cop just wanted to be a dickand was going to give me a repair order. A buddy of mine is a retired LEO and told him he can't write me for that and all he could do was give me a warning. So that's what I got, a warning. All these assholes driving around on historic tags for the daily drivers and I get some asshole all bent out of shape because I have a lowered car on historic tags. Guess I'll swap them out for street rod tags.

  3. Very nice. I'm sure they will line up just fine haha.

The concern is having the ability to remove them from the pictured manifold and mounting them to say, a set of volvo competition manifolds. I'd rather not be married to this one manifold. But, it's a done deal now.

  4. A lot. Everything. No.

The DCOE flange needs to be cut in half, then the throttles will be split apart and welded to the flange. The throttles will also need some of the vacuum ports plugged and the inlets need to be turned to mate with the velocity stacks. The throttle outlets will probably need a round in the lathe as well to make port matching easier.

The cast manifold is clearly of dubious quality and will probably need to have the faces milled flat.

Since the throttles will be split, the fuel rail blank will be machined to fit the new spacing. AN fittings will also get welded on and mounting brackets will also need to be fabricated.

    What he said.
