Got a bunch of parts in today and had an hour to kill tonight while my daughter went down for bed so I knocked the driver side front out. Swapped the front springs w/ the new Afco 5" x 6 5/8" #800 springs and removed the 5" x 8" #600 springs that were I installed last weekend. Also pulled the brake lines out since I was in there and found that they are definitely the culprit for the non brake bleeding issue.. Fluid came pouring out of the hard lines and not a drip out of the rubber lines.... So already have them on order and they should be in from IPD next week, hopefully... (cough.. IPD? haven't received shipping update cough...). Anyway, more of what I do best...., pics.

Coming along! Bolts/hardware on 140's is not Metric, if I remember correctly?
Spoiler looks good!
I really love that RS500. The new Focus's sold over here now have a similar nose, but no Volvo-powered model
It's a mix of metric and standard. Pretty annoying....
BTW Johann, I ordered new rubber brake lines in hopes that cures my bleeding issues. I'll let you know if things improve, should have them on this weekend.

Chilledman - Banned for 2 day for posting nudes in the R forum.
If your going to ban me at least grow a set and post it here
Suspend, not ban. Very different meanings. And no, it wasn't me, but I would have. ;)

Why? Maybe for HP application, don't know. In the Opel it is doing great though.
You're right, I'm an idiot. I was thinking of the M46 for some reason. The M90 is the better of the RWD volvo transmission. I was going to say I've always like the Getrags over all the volvo transmissions but the M90 is made by Getrag.
-
It's an Opel Getrag. I want to place the engine upright so the gearbox needs to be re-clocked behind the engine.
Plus the M90 sucks.

These cages have been around for a long Long time, Saab has the same bolt in cages for their old 99's. Put the cages to the test several time's & Never had an issue. & up until a few year's ago they past SCCA reg's with no problem's.
It was a reference to turbobricks response of the roll cage when Johann posted it.
Still have this engine,
Removed it because of this,
But that is only a couple of dollar seal.
Have this,
And this,
And this,
Will see where it will end up..
Awesome, Johann. So you thinking whiteblock swap in the 142 w/ a getrag? Uh.... do it! Is that a 160 front suspension?

Knowing Sean, he was leaving a coffee shop.
The just rushed my buddy into the OR due to bleeding in his lungs. Not looking good from what I hear. :(

When I install the M40 and the DHLA carbs, I'm going to pull the engine and at that point I'll be pulling the front cross member and suspension pieces and bead blasting them. At that point I'll evaluate what needs to be reinforced and what needs to be replaced. The pieces were coated w/ undercoating and that is what is mainly rusting off. I've gone through w/ a center punch and checked everything out and the metal is still healthy.
I'm really wishing the Gotti's were 16"...
