wow what a difference, even more so than i was expecting
Light hits those rain drops and sends it everywhere. If I didn't have that back light gridded, it would have been a mess.

Thanks, Erik! And I did! I really love this image, but it's far from perfect.

do you have a shot that wasn't lit from the back and just from the umbrella I'm curious to see the difference
Here you go.

yeah, I'll upload one tonight.

On the fly. During the reception, I try to brainstorm quick portaits where I can pull the couple away for a short amount of time (5-10 min tops). Rain moved in and I had to think of something. Had to root around my gear to find the black cover for the 60" umbrella, but luckily I found one. I had a 30" umbrella in my stand bag w/ the cover, but it wouldn't have worked as well. Shot the first image with just the umbrella and built from there adding the back light and adjusting the position of the umbrella. Took about 5 minutes to get the shot. If you're ever shooting in the rain, rain drops/water always looks best back lit.

Assuming remote strobe?
Sb80 on an umbrella adapter inside umbrella, then an Elinchrom Ranger Quadra with 7" parabolic reflector and a 30* grid behind the couple.

This happened once before a few months back. If her name is on the title than yeah she can do whatever she wants.
In MD, if both parties names are on the title, it can't be sold w/o signatures from both parties. If one is dead, proof of death has to be provided.

I was more worried that this guy would be illegal and/or not have insurance. He fumbled around in this car for 15 mins trying to find his paper work. Glad a I called a cop because when he said it was the other guys fault he was not happy.
Did you spit on him?

I'm pretty much there as well.

So are you going to trade him?
I never specified which 142. So, sure.

A reflector would be even better.

I'm with Greg on the Gullwing but I much prefer it with the red interior. Though if I was going to spend $1 million plus on a classic then I would go for the Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato:
RM is selling your car this weekend.

Karl and Alex made me two sizes of stacks, did a quick polish on one last night to see about finishes. Definitely sending them out for plating.

Throttle bodies showed up. They look awesome. Have two different lengths of stacks to choose from. I'll be installing this winter and hopefullly bagging the car too. I have to send some things out for plating on the ITB's before I can install them, so I'll be boxing them up next week and sending them off.

1938 Bugatti 57-SC Atlantic:
I'm with Josh on this one, even if I'm a complete sucker for XKE's, the Bugatti takes it to a whole other level.
The 300SL Gullwing is a top 2 car for me. My buddies dad had a silver sports edition w/ the plaid interior, it was drop dead gorgeous. The bugati is gorgeous, but I'd take the Talbot-Lago T150 over it.

Werd up.

I hate that they are so expensive now. Daddy wants.

WTF is up w/ all the kids saying "ratchet" now?

I've super busy this past year. No time for pics that don't pay. :/

No, I do have some for speedlites, but for this setup I used this:
