Turbo is out and apart...
Problem:
- 1
-
Yep, got my stuff back.
-
Rebuilding the turbo after my crop dusting event. I have been having BOV issues so I am switching to a Synapse Synchronic. I have been fighting compressor surge and believe this may have lead to the seal failure. So new BOV, billet wheel and anti-surge housing. I have not inspected the seal channel on the turbine wheel. If needed I will replace that as well.

You Mr H., are so lucky to have a personal closed air strip to tune on.
I often wondered about that.

That is a 4 car garage you just cant see the rest. The sad part is that there is zero room for a car.

How did the clutch hold up before the tranny gave way?
That kevlar disc looks an awful lot like my fibre-carbon one I just realised.
Apparently very well
First time I have seen that a gear broke on a M56. I assume this happen while in gear not on a force full shift?
It was a forceful shift. Second to third, the car started to pull for just a sec then boom

Lost another transmission today. Third gear is gone and it sounds like a box of rocks.

Sorry man, I barely have time to work on my own car. Had to take time off work just to finish it.
Have you looking into renting one? Costs about $40. I live 2 hours from you, would you drive all they way here and back to save $40?

Well somebody has got some explaining to do. Before everyone goes crazy I contacted them and they were in shock and asked me to sent it back of which they will correct the issue and get it back to me immediately.

All right, things are coming back together.
Picked up the flywheel. I had it stepped to give it some more clamping force.
Kevlar disc this time.
Replaced syncros in the new trans
Swapped the quaife over... Does anyone have the torque spec for the ring gear???
