  1. Well wait a sec, what I was trying to say is that it's okay for there to be some fluid leakage when you pull the axle out of tranny ... and when you pull the seal it will leak even more. That's with good seals.

Like a little fluid gush and then nothing else? Funny... I replaced a seal that was seeping with the axle in:

When I pulled the axle out, it was a sold (albeit small) stream of transmission fluid coming out of the transaxle. When I pulled the seal out, the fluid continued. In went the new seal and *BAM!* no more fluid flowing. Did you push the seal in all the way???

  2. Since it is the passenger side, you will need to release the center bearing on the shaft.

The only thing that worked for me to release the shaft from the bearing was a mallet. The puller just couldn't break the sealer that Volvo puts on the splines.

I didn't think it was necessary to remove the bearing from the shaft, did yours not come with one?

You will leak little fluid once you pull the axle, although some here have said they didn't. Both my cars did from both sides. Better to have your oil catch pan under there just in case. I have only replaced one seal, on the passenger side (like you). When I pulled that seal I lost a considerable amount of fluid ... maybe on the order of 1.5 to 2 quarts.

Leaking fluid is a sign of a bad seal. If you're leaking fluid, you need to replace it. MAKE SURE TO FILL THE SPRING SIDE WITH SILICONE PASTE!!!! it helps hold the spring in.

    you didn't answer anything?

He usually doesn't. Just dumb post-whoring.

  3. 35% window tint, on the box it said do not apply to acrlics or plastics, should i be scared??

A bit moot-point to be asking that now! If it says not to use on acrylics or plastics, you shouldn't. You'll see what happens after a couple hours in the sun!

Edit: They do look very nice, though!

Horns look good, but only with the mesh grille and only on a RED car *cough* Pras *cough*! :P

  4. Wait, wait...besides mine? Ideally you wouldn't want piping there, but w/e.

Or you could route the turbo to the back of the car near the rear fender, plumb the intake over the left B pillar and move the intercooler to somewhere in Alaska (for colder ambient temperatures of course). Make that stuff look like a freaking hamster cage with a labrynth of inter-connected tubes. That should keep it cold.

  5. Damn Travis, that is a clean engine bay! Very nice!

I kinda made an RIP kit... didn't come out right though. The pipes seem to go UNDER the car instead of to the top of the stock intercooler. Boy, did I monkey that one up!

RIP is for bling-factor. Other than that, there are no performance gains worth almost $400. You can make it from eBay aluminum (or SS pipe) and your own connectors just as easily.

  6. After 2 years here I think I've never once heard a English person say that, interesting.

Cars look good man, looks like you have an collection.

Good ol stereotypes! I wonder if people overseas go "Look, I'm an American: put it on my credit card!"

    It would make my day!

  7. if you have a problem with the way this country was built and the way it is run , the get the hell out! do what you want, but (and i quote)"when the people in the promise land turn thier back on god, god will turn his back on them"

I do sincerely believe the more-crucial principle this country was founded on was "Separation of Chuch and State."

I still don't get how homosexuals or their being married "threatens the american family." Do they storm in to your living rom and start poking eachother in the ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD?

    That is all, thank you.
