Thats a good idea, but I rather stick with the original OMP design. I guess the pivoting point is there for some important reason besides the ability to help getting the strutbar in and out, some serious engineering design and testing should have been involved. Besides, thats an easy job for an universal turning machine. I am gonna follow the wise Chinese belief that says: ...Dont innovate, Just copy!

Looks good man! Just a question; OMP Strut bars have ONE articulated side, yours is all rigid. How would that be an improvement over the OMP? Did you omit that on purpose? I definetely think I can do it in my shop, that would be a great project. Having the following info would be a great help: Aluminum grade?, tube diameter?, strut plate thickness?, large tube diameter and thickness? Thanks
