So as a pedestrian, this never happened to me before today: I got hit by a car! Clearly neither of us was paying attention as I stepped off the curb and she turned left. She didn’t have a lot of speed and pretty much came to a full stop right where I was standing. As that happened, I put my hand on her hood and shifted all my body weight off my feet.
