  1. Thanks for the input, that's kinda what I figured. KWs it is. There's a fender roller on sale starting tomorrow so i'm going pick that up. I will be fitting Mirzams with 235/40/18 and 10mm spacers in the front, 20mm in the rear. That's one of the changes.
  2. My thread basically got cut in half when it was unarchived so I added some pics to the original post. Got a few updates coming soon I'm also looking into coilovers. I just want to get your opinions.. used KW V2s with ~10k kms or new D2s?
  3. I think he is waiting til the weather gets nicer and he has another car to drive. but +1000. Get rid of that MAF and go speed density.
  4. Are you still planning on moving over to standalone at some point?
  5. Just get a couple aluminum bungs and weld them on. Either male or female depending how you want to do it.
  6. You're running out of things to do to this car. What's next after the fuel upgrades and VEMS?
  7. Are you running synthetic now H? I still hear mine spinning for some time after shut down. The big alu intake pipe accentuates it for sure since I just have the open filter.
  8. You might consider running larger lines front to back while you're at it
  9. *crosses fingers for thread retrieval
  10. I downloaded the VEMS software and I can see how you feel intimidated. Nira software runs you through a couple wizards and then you have a decent base map. I was able to drive on mine after just a small change to the VE table. Didn't you buy an 850 beater to drive? I think you just need to go balls deep and make the conversion. It will be a steep learning curve but in reality it shouldn't be too difficult to at least get it running. Do you plan to tune it yourself or are you taking it to a tuner this time?
  11. Viva lists the flywheel to work with M66 as a direct replacement, meaning to work with the dualmass clutch. http://www.vivaperformance.com/single-mass-flywheel-m66-awd-manual-gearbox/ They link to a Spec kit (SO603FS) that is listed to work with both the stock dualmass flywheel or their singlemass replacement. It also gives the option for sprung or unsprung disc depending which flywheel you're using. http://www.vivaperformance.com/spec-clutch-kit-stage-3-volvo-s60r-v70r-s40-v50-t5-c30-c70-t5/
  12. Hmm. I thought you were supposed to use a dualmass clutch kit with that flywheel? Your pressure plate looks like one from a singlemass kit. Which Spec kit did you get? I searched but couldn't find where you mentioned it. Do you have any pics of when you tightened down the pressure plate originally? Did the fingers fully retract at that point? The measurement from the ring gear could be close to the same as original if the fingers never sat correctly.
  13. You set the boost control valve to 0 duty cycle and it still overshoots the wastegate spring pressure by that much?? I have the 10 psi spring and it barely creeps above that on a hard pull if set as I mentioned. As for the clutch, I was going to say that you could probably just use the sprung disc that comes in the 850 SO133F kit since it's probably the same thickness, but the input shaft on your trans is probably larger? I think it changed in 2002? That's not to say that they wouldn't have something suitable. Maybe try contacting Spec, but I would wait until you have the clutch out so you can determine what exactly went wrong.
  14. I can only imagine how pissed you must be. Try not to give it too much thought until you can assess the damage. Give it a few days, start taking it apart and hopefully most of it is salvageable..
