  1. Interesting. It might be beneficial to those with custom manifolds where the turbo sits too low to get a good angle into the stock drain. Can't hurt to drill/tap and then just cap it for potential future use.
  2. Looks like you're keeping busy with little projects! What's the status of the motor at this point?
  3. Except the RSI rods have the tear drop near at the top.
  4. Might have to be a supporting member.
  5. :monkey: Hope you get it sorted out without too much hassle. Mine never called for new dowels but I think your clutch has a higher torque rating. Do you have a side shot of the pressure plate? It almost looks taller than my old dualmass plate.
  6. I'm not sure if the IAT sensor increases or decreases voltage as the temp increases. I looked in the manual, but it doesn't specify. My sensor is a combined MAP/IAT sensor. My IATs do decrease on say a 4th gear highway pull. Did they quote you a price on the rad? I got a local guy selling an alu rad made for a 93 850 but i'm not sure if the 93 has the same mounts as the 94-97 models or particularly the 98 models. Waiting for pics.
  7. Still strange how your timing is increasing and then drops off at 5550 before coming back again. It kind of jumps around right through to redline. Could the ECU be detecting knock and retarding timing since i'm pretty sure your timing map is steadily increasing through that rpm range?
  8. I don't want to clutter Husseins thread with my stuff.... i'll reply here: http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/topic/64863-project-blackt5/page__view__findpost__p__2016831
  9. Rocko and them rev the hydro heads to 8500 but maybe. I had the valve spring seat pressure increased, but that's it.
  10. That's funny, I was sitting at a light yesterday and looked down to see 161616 kms. So your last timing sheet.. it shows values to 7400rpm. So when you hit 8k+, i'm assuming it uses the 7400 value? My car seems like it just does not want to rev much past 7k. It's either cam timing, ignition timing or the turbine is too small. Looking at your timing values, I really need to ramp mine up in the higher rpms.
  11. Are you sure it's slipping at the top of first? you would think you'd feel it more in 4th on a hard pull.
  12. It's strange how your timing dips. It drops in the 4k rpm range where I would assume your peak torque is, then it jumps back up, only to drop again at 5400+ before going up again.
  13. So at 17psi boost, you're seeing almost 30psi EBP. It does seem a bit high for that boost level with your setup, can you hook it up to a mechanical gauge to test and see if your readings are accurate? Too bad about the intake, how much do you think needs to be taken off for it to fit?
  14. Yep. I had spiking problems until I ported the living sh!t out of the hole in the housing/flange.
  15. You should go to an external gate Welds look good. I'm very interested in how it fits.
  16. It's painted mild steel and cost is ~ $850.
  17. Did you get any better pics of the collector or inside shot of the welds? I'm contemplating just making my own.
  18. I thought Mark was woring on a manifold for you? Any idea if the LG unit will fit a 35r? Edit: Found the thread where you were discussing fit, and pricing. $620 for 3 or more is a decent price.
  19. My IATs go down as I accelerate. Interested to see pics of the new downpipe.
  20. What is your timing like at 7k under full boost/load. You using TT?
  21. He is using Turbo-Tuner which is not currently available for newer models 1999 on.
