  1. and yeah shall receive... A/T cooler's from ViVa!
  2. Oops, the actual cost of this cooler is hush-hush <_<
  3. never mind all that, did you really pay $880 (or anywhere around that) for the A/T cooler? :o
  4. but did you really pay $880 for it from ViVa?!
  5. My Koni "Yellows" are set "softest" i.e. least amount of rebound damping. I have fronts & rears on factory springs There isn't a whole lot of difference adjusting the fronts, but the rears get Lowered-Ricer-Bobble-Head stiff when maxed out!
  6. wrap your heads around this one... Volvo buys parts from a multitude of different manufacturers, and has these manufacturers install a "Volvo" marking on said part. Then Volvo sells these parts in a blue box with a considerable mark-up scam? or is it just business as usual ;)
  7. lifetime warranty...to the original purchaser (tell THAT to Lax01!)
  8. Whoa, you're a used car salesman? that so figures g'luck! :)
  9. When I did my 140k T-belt, I replaced... T-Belt Serp Belt (no sep tensioner, as that can be done easily if it goes) Hydraulic tensioner tensioner pulley idler pulley water pump (Genuine Volvo!) thermostat coolant all the coolant and heater hoses (with 10 years and a 140k, how long can we expect them to last?) I didn't mess with the front seal, because it didn't leak
  10. Aww, that's too bad, the spoiled Brat is having a tantrum
  11. Although I have nothing to add to this thread, I really get a kick out of your assistant! Time flies...seems like you wake up one day, and you're putting seals in your Son's car :D
  12. ...not like you'd ever GO to one... maybe set one up for the Agawam Rein's Deli
  13. It was good time, for sure. Lotsa cops on I-84 East on my way home a motley crew...
  14. Thing is, each axle is removed separately. There is no "time savings" by doing both, well except for the fact that the car is in the shop just once. If the CV booties are old & worn, handling the axles may cause them to fail right away or shortly thereafter. Old boots are fragile. I've learned that lesson the hard way! Ching-Ho, is this something you could do yourself? The parts are cheap, and it's a pretty straigh-forward job.
  15. as was said, yes, axle seals can be replaced easily. Fan noise... is there somethin' rubbin', or are the bearings gone? Damn, them fans are expensive!
  16. there's a good chance this is your answer...worn steering components will accentuate the vibration as well
  17. very fine looking automobile. I dig the black/white thing... ...but why do you folks keep changing your "handles" It just confuses the heck outa me
  18. don't you backyard motor heads AT LEAST invest the $15 in a Haynes manual? (directed at oreo)
  19. Ah, the voice of reason! ...but it seems that a Volvo-Recall-Conspiracy is more interesting, though :pizza:
  20. FWIW, the recall heat shiels repair is on the OPPOSITE side as the filler neck
  21. 1. There is nothing wrong at all with the Volvo factory sway bars, and the R bars are as big as the IPD's 2. it would be way cheaper that the required $360 for a set of IPD's
  22. there is no "replacing the bushings" you replace the entire bar. The bushings are vulcanized onto the bar... ...I've often thought about SOMEONE making a replacement bushing set-up. You'd have to remove the old bushing, and come up with a nice new poly (or Delrin) bushing and clamp block...Slater, are you listening?
  23. If the car is sitting flat, i.e. the wheels NOT hanging down (like on when on jackstands) the sways will pretty much line up with the end links.
