  1. Hard to tell but it does sound like a spark issue. Whether its spark blow out is hard to tell from the video.
  2. Per Alldata they are different. I.E. 32F - 5740Ohm (99) vs 7300Ohm (98)
  3. I would ditch the stock fpr and go aftermarket if you are changing the lines anyway. I hate the stock location for it.
  4. Take a road trip out here...there are a few dynos around us that are not too bad....actually one up in WI that's AWD. They charge $90 for the first and $70 for every hour after that and I think that includes the guy tuning it, not sure though. 2 hour minimum. That was when I inquired about MS tuning.
  5. H, you really need to get another base line to see where you are at. All these mods with no substantial numbers...its killing me. Are you still running the stock Volvo pump or Walbro 255?
  6. This is still annoying as hell... Where does the quote end and the reply start?!
  7. used to love the mobile version. Easy to read on an Iphone. One of the last updates screwed up the visual representation of quotes though. Now its though to see where to quote ends sometimes. I like it for speed and that I don't have to zoom and scroll when reading posts.
  8. That's one thing I kinda miss. In Germany passing TUV was a pain but seeing how many unsafe vehicles are in the road here I would gladly accept a system like that.
  9. In all honesty..its is very simple, but you need to get the EMS installed in the car and just try to get it running at idle (disconnect and disable IAC, leave the vac tree connection open so the car will idle without IAC and thottle input). Nothing you set on the VEMS can damage your engine (only electrical components if wired incorrectly). Thats step one. Step two. The tuning of the timing cells doesn't matter right now, but I would set it to a static 10 degrees in order to get the car running and idling (check timing with a timing light!!), after that you can concentrate on the tuning. step three, verify all the add-ons such as IAC and configure them.
  10. I understand that certain people have other views and I am not going to attack your first statement (nor your second actually, just commenting on it). The large mass (or the future majority) doesn't suck when it comes to handling money (some sure do/small percentage). They do the average Joe type of work, that just doesn't pay as well as Business owners like Mitt and other people. I don't want those people running the country that only care about how much money they make and for example stop investing in a company that only gives them 3-5% growth rate/return on investment over the wanted 10-15% of that of "healthy" businesses and let them go bankrupt or go out of business completely. That's the wrong attitude. This will be an endless discussion and I understand part of you point. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
  11. I must not understand the american way then. So this country only helps its citizens in a time of war and, well lets see, no other situation. I think Obama made a point in his speech yesterday that I support. You as a citizen have certain responsibilities to you country, I consider paying taxes and helping the country and other people who may not be as fortunate as me out in the time of need. Obviously there are limits. The system will get abused and there is really no way around that. Just look at the legal system. That's a whole different story though. Compared to other developed countries. The US still have one of the lowest income taxes/all around taxes.
  12. Well that's the kind of thinking that won't move this country and economy forward. I associate that to the republican party, selfish thinking.
  13. So to summarize in your words. Rednecks. Rednecks and their wife's. Alzheimer patients and easily influenced people.
  14. Did you tap the breather box for that or where do you tap in to measure?
  15. As promised. Again, around 6k the spark blow out started, its also were the map goes very rich apparently. It will give me a good base to start with. This was with WI on. triggering around 10PSI with a 10 GPH nozzle (630ml/min).
  16. Sure thing. I don't live in Germany anymore though. I talked to the dyno guys and they offer dyno time for a fairly good price so I may head back there for a few hours and get some tuning done the safe way.
  17. Yeah, but for me just getting it up and goin yesterday it did very well. The engine I have in right now only has about 6k miles on it and it is built (H-beam rods). Road tuning in 40 degree weather is tough...no traction even with the gripper.
  18. H, just an FYI. I just made 315WHP on the 3rd pull at 16PSI (didn't datalog since my laptop ran out of juice just as it got on the dyno) with MS3. That was a 10 min tuning session I did with Joe to dial in some of the fuel switching from greens to the 625cc siemens (now 4bar@725cc). Spark blowout as well as AFRs in the 10 above 5500rpm robbed a lot of power. As a comparison I'll post some maps tomorrow if you want.
  19. Its not really about the switch more of the ability to scale it better as well as better understanding of load.
  20. I had similar problems at times getting consistent results with TT when the MAF is maxed out early. Remember that he made a big change without re-tuning it yet. Just a before/after log. At least thats how i read it.
