Hello fellow member, here is my story concerning my Volvo. I own a 1994 early version 850 non turbo sedan, automatic. Now my ride needs alot of work, it is my project car my only car and I plan on maintaining and keeping if lord willing for as long as possible. Lets see what has happened and what I have done thus far. I was rear ended in May of 2005 gpt a nice new bumper:D. Then a few days later, my own absent mindedness, I changed my oil and did not close my hood properly, guess what happened. Yep, my hood flew up, luckily it did not smash into the windshield but it did warp the hood, one of the hood hinges and left a deep grove on the top of the passanger side. It did not look pretty but I was able to get the hood down and closed but the hood did not sit right, lol. Drove like that for a few months luckily I found a local junk yard that had a 96 850 and I bought a hood with the hinges for 80 bucks. Then on new years eve/new years day, someone backed into the driver side front door of my car . I had insurance take care of the door and the shop only charged me 250 to paint and mount the new hood. I have changed my wires and spark plugs, front O2 sensor and I gutted my car cleaned up the inside, removed the dash to install a new A/C evap; not an easy job trust me and I replaced the head liner. I need to replace my suspension, about to order parts from FCP groton, plan on buying some samco hoses, have bought a new water pump and timing belt with all pulleys etc... . Oh yeah on wednesday I bent my rim, the dealer wants 400 to 700 depending on the type of rim. looks like I am buying a new set of rims for the car, lol... I plan on driving to canada for xmas, love that drive, it will be my first time with this car. Does anyone have any recommendations on any service I should do before the trip??
