  1. Just got back, and will work on posting pics after dinner. Some vids came out too. I also got to run with a 1.8t A4 audi with aftermarket dual exhaust to about 120mph before the rain started. I had fun we will definately do this again soon.

  2. I just figured meet up around 11, go grab some lunch around 12. Go for a drive, hang out. Its gonna be a small meet, so we really can just do whatever.

Well with all this farkin rain. I haven't had a chance to detail the car. I'm gonna try to do it in the morning. Have a dentist appointment at 9:30 now. I'll probably not be able to make it til 12pm but i'll call you tom and let you know so i can meet up wherever you guys are.

  3. LOL

    or install an inline resistor.

Dont lose me here guys with resistors and all this nonsense!! Yea go with blue cause the white also gives off an aqua blue, and is not as good looking. The instrument cluster has a green film that you can take off but is a pain in the @ss, the instrument cluster also has a film but it is blue, take that off and you get an orange look with the bulbs, still not as nice. so i'm rambling but go with BLUE

  4. I'll have to drop by PEP Boys to check on them. Thanks for the heads up.

There are ways to circumvent this though.

Circumvent by taking out the warning bulb in the instrument cluster

I want white for plate and blue for cluster, I think I´ll remove the computer anyway.

    /Mike

You didn't mess anything up. Remove the computer? Then you're going to have a hole in your instrument cluster showing all your wires.. not pretty. :monkey:

  5. So it'll be at Laurel Acres Park in Mt. Laurel. Yorktown Drive & S. Church is the intersection; VS won't let me put the map in this post. Local people try to figure out where we can cruise to. And we should figure out food and stuff.

Yea, and we meeting there or meeting at a house and driving there....

  6. I haven't seen them in auto parts stores here in the US so I ordered mine through the internet. Check my post for the link to the websites.

They might ship internationally, but you'll have to ask to find out.

Pep Boys here have some 194 leds but only inverted. and the cluster leds are for tail lights etc.

The leds that i ordered came from both england and australia.

  7. Guys, a newbie question. Is these LED´s direct fit and what do they cost? Never seen this over here.

Is there a LED seller on VS maybe? I don´t know what model to buy.

    /Mike

Ok for the 850 it can be a little more tricky with a complete LED install. Ask Paintballer

    First. All the easy replacements.

    1. Instrument Cluster ( minus the trip computer )

----- These use 194 led bulbs. Available in a wide variety I buy mine from Yabe. You can buy 1 through 12 filament bulbs on there. ( This means how many leds in one cluster or one bulb ) 6 element leds are the max you can fit.

    2. Trip Computer

----- These bulbs everyone has tried to find. I managed to find some but did not attempt at a fitment. What i did was take the stock OEM bulbs, and use a blue sharpie to color them. This creates a lighter blue than the leds but a blue nonetheless.

    3. License Plate Bulbs (Rear)

----- Also 194 bulbs from ebay. Mine happen to be a 9 element led cluster bulb that is very bright. I believe these should be bought in white as it appears the most sharp color.

    4. Interior Dome Bulbs Not really worth it, but i have a post in here with a pic of the bulbs Link to my purchase

And the rest??? climate/ shifter knob P N D 3 L etc. Not unless you're ready to spend copious amounts of hours and days :o)

  8. I'm waiting to see if they'll design a 194 LED bulb with a 90 deg turn in them. I still need to convert my 'puddle lamps', under the side mirrors, to LEDs. The way they're installed in my car, most of the light must be emitted from the sides, and the output of 'inverted' LEDs are still to low to be useful in this application.

    :(

Yea i don't understand why there is not a 194 bulb with that yet. I mean they have pretty much everything else. And the inverted bulbs i have are dim

  9. have a link for the bulbs in the cluster?

I bought mine from a trusted seller on Yabe that i have been using, and was very impressed if you like the color of mine. (it's a lil deeper blue than shown in pic) i can pm you the seller. I wanted 9 element leds in there but would not fit due to space.

    -Rob

Ah, I see. How do those bulbs point after they get mounted in the dome? LEDs don't give out much light off axis. So if you have to mount them sideways, it's better to get an 'inverted' version.

Yea it points at a 90 degree angle. Not good. since these point pretty much straight forward (even though it says a 270 degree angle viewing.)

  10. Yes, I'm shameless... :(

My interior dome lights are 44mm festoon (SuperStars) for the front

and 194 Wedge (SuperStars) for the rear.

I guess they used dif. interior bulb housings in the newer cars. This is what fits in the front interior housings.

  11. nope..

i replaced all mine with blues from 42dashdesigns.com

not a flicker in sight, they all match, it's a very good thing.

I recall you replaced those with Jeremys a lil while ago. We'll have to see in like a month from now.

I have to say i'm disappointed with how fast they started flicking and emailed the seller, but to no avail
