  1. Head is pounding, stomach wants to purge. 2 bottles of wine last night. Good news is that I went to eat at Azul last night in the new mill creek town center and parked next to a Silver V70 that had a Volvospeed sticker on it. Any ideas on who that might be given the location? Had a child seat in the back if that helps.
  2. I cant seem to find it anywhere on the site. Or is it one of those "right under my nose and still cant see it" deals?
  3. I'd give ole' lefty for that chassis and body.....[homersimpson]drooooooool[/homersimpson]
  4. Mid 11's would be a little more accurate. These cars are about equal to the vettes as far as HP/tq and acceleration. My fbody will outrun a Speed GT car in the 1/4. These cars make thier power fairly high up in the power band and have a narrow window to work with. They are also running close to street ratios in the final drive. That is dependant on the track though. But it is pretty much unheard of to be running ratios like a drag car would be (4.10, 4.11, 4.56 etc.).
  5. Trust me when I say you wouldnt want to drive one around town. There is absolutely nothing in common with a Speed GT car and the street version. Other than possibly the resemblance. most of these cars are running Tilton styled clutches with reduced flyweel mass. See: on/off switch, no slippy of the clutchy. And after taking it down the freeway at even mild speeds you would probably need your kindeys replaced.
  6. I can attest to the speed of these cars. I have worked in the pits on another Speed GT car running against the Volvos. At the time Galati was driving and Bell was no where to be seen. These things are pretty fast and hold the road well. They just have a small problem with buring the passenger door panels off But listening to them coming into the front straight at 100% throttle is something else. Sounds more like a leer jet than a car. Yeah, to bad Volvo wouldnt step up to the plate and help them out. This was almost completely an independant venture. I cant remember the team owners name but he went to volvo and proposed the idea of entering the GT class with the S60r. It was pretty much a outcry for a little factory backing and he got exactly that.....little help. Volvo passed off on the idea but would do anything to assist.
