I guess I reached the limit of the stock pistons - this isn't the one that had the damage from the valve dropping...
Did you do any mods to the top of the block to stop it flexing between each bore?

As you know, I gave up with the TT last year on my M4.4, due to the problems with it not being able to control the 750cc injectors.
I would seriously consider having an MTE custom map.
Almost a year later on an MTE custom map and mine is doing well, especially at WOT. Going to have some revisions in May to improve the map further.

What injectors are you now using? Im guessing you don't have the same idle issues that you had with the Siemens Deka 630cc and that I had with the RC 650cc and 750cc injectors!?!

Wouldn't be those by any chance?

Well, I don’t think that site is moving forward. There is nothing going on lately on this message board, and especially in past 6 months. VS lost a lot people who knew about Volvos and how to tune them. Rich (bay13), Doug (you know who I am talking about) Swedish Mike and list goes on. Only Johann is still here that knows the stuff.
I completely agree with that statement. Ive no idea what happened to those people, especially Swedish Mike, but what about trying to recruit more people from Scandanavia, those who have been brought up with Volvos and know what they are talking about. Most of the videos of fast Volvos that we see on the net are from the likes of Sweden etc. I know we have the language barrier, but most Swedes do speak english.
People who do try to bring something new to the table, one that comes to mind is Zulu something or other, the one with the log manifold, got shot down in flames mostly by Chuck himself (Not picking, just stating fact), I think Zulu went about the whole thing the wrong way to begin with, but still.
I have to confess that this isnt my first Volvo forum, so to speak, but I am a regular even though I dont post as much as I should. having said that, 90% of all the threads in my favourite lists are from VS, as I do most of my research on here.
Even if you take into account everything ive said in this post, this is still the best place to get info from, you just have to sift a little more through the stuff, to get at the good stuff.

Volvo should go to a European car maker, just not Fiat.
Fiat group dont have enough cash to buy Volvo, plus reliability and that quality associated with Volvo will decrease drastically. Anyone remember what happened when Fiat bought Lancia, Lancia was known for durable bodies, Fiat decieded to save money and use substandard metal, result was, rust of course.
Only company id like to see buy Volvo would either be VAG or BMW, and we know that isnt going to happen. Is there any chance of Volvo buying themselves back?

What did you end up doing with the Climate Control Mark? You did say you were throwing it out.

I would be pleased to be making 250-260 whp on that turbo... And that's about where most people here stop gaining much
My V70 makes 249whp on a 16T at 1.05bar. Only mods are a panel filter and a rica ecu. Total cost of mods are $530.
To get this car up to 300whp will require a different turbo, plenty of exhaust modifications and of course some mapping.

The connection from the volvo caliper and a porsche caliper are exactly the same. Thats what ive been told anyway. Havent got my braided lines yet.

Brake cleaner, let it soak, compressed air. Repeat. Then Soap and warm water with an air hose. That's what I did, and it cleaned out real well.
Excellent, thanks doc!

How do I go about properly flushing the old brake fluid out of a brembo 4 pot caliper?

ecodes.
Pras, i assume these are universal projectors? Any more details on them? Links? Cost?
-
Projector retro is $$$$ or £££, so I think you should just leave the lenses alone. Clean them up while they're off, cause dust builds up inside sometimes. So, after a good cleaning, they make your headlights stand out a bit more.
Like Adam said, don't go clear lenses on stock reflectors. The beam pattern will not exist, and you'll have a crappy time driving at night. If you do paint any of the reflectors, keep the bowls untouched... and I mean UNTOUCHED. Wear latex (or nitrile) gloves to keep fingerprints off them. They're delicate, and if you smudge them with your finger you just decreased your output by a bit.
There is a car here in the UK that has projector headlights as standard, Mk2 Fiat Punto. These units can be had for around £40 a pair. I feel a project is on its way
Thanks for the info on the painting etc.

The point of the question was to modify the existing headlights, and save £££. Personally I dont like the jewel style headlights, they look to in your face, i like my headlights to be dark and moody, not bling bling bling. But I do like the clear glass lenses. Hence I want to do a similar thing to the standard ones.
Anyone else have any opinions if this is do-able?
-
Looking for a cheap way of making the standard headlights look a little different. I shall be colouring the ridged section in the headlight itself, ala exexpat. As the glass has to come off to do this, I was thinking about doing something with the glass. Would i be stupid in thinking i could get away with polishing the glass so it has no lines or anything, they would then have a very similar style to the newer C70 headlights that people upgrade to, at very little cost.
Only thing im concerned about is the beam pattern. Does the glass do anything with regards to that? If it does, how do the newer style headlights get away with it?
-
That's an incredible price. I can't get them here for less than £550 give or take a few quid.
I can get the springs for £185 delivered, so that leaves £365 for the shocks :)

That is what an S60 is supposed to look like, Darn!!!

What? With that stick on fuel cap?

I should mention that although the Koni internals are great, the paint SUCKS - get ready for chips and surface rust galore. I've repainted every set of Konis I've owned as soon as I bought them to keep rust at bay. Sandpaper + Rustoleum Professional primer + Rustoleum Professional flat or gloss black =
+100 I bought a used set with 5k on them and before fitting I really need to prep and paint them.

LMAO @ you americans complaining about petrol prices.
To fill up the T5 here in the UK costs me 99.9p a litre for 98ron Shell Optimax. So if the tank is nearly empty its around £65 to fill up.

Surprised it lasted as long as it did without filling in the blanks.
