  1. Thanks guys! I had almost an interview that lasted nearly three hours today and I need a mindless game. The companies proxy blocks us from games but not from VS. So thanks!
  2. Picture an '05 Specialized Hardrock Comp Disc. Bone stock. Just some extra storage under the seat and an onboard tire pump.
  3. Loaner!! I thought this was yours? by the way, how do you like lighting the tires in the rain ;)
  4. OK, I'll concede, just a little bit. There are times when he just needs to keep his mouth shut. However the WTC attack was just that... an attack. It was a deliberate malicious attack against you and me and all that we stand for. I was much more angry when that occured. Even my roomate and I contemplated driving 1200 miles to go help clean up. I had no such feelings after Katrina hit and I was only half the distance away. Apathy. That's what I felt after Katrina. Vengance. That's what I felt after WTC attacks. I'm guessing I not the only one who felt that way and it's hard for me to compare the two events.
  5. I did when I put mine on... that's because the turbo discharge had a hole the size of a dime in it. :o
  6. Idiot? What the hell would you do in his shoes. He's got people moving back to his doomed city that want to be there 'cuz it's home. I understand that but what do you tell those people? "Stay away from this part" "Don't rebuild". Good luck convincing them that. A hurricane came, the place got flooded, people were told to flee, many people didn't flee. Do you see how some of the constituents Nagin has would be a little frustrating? Truth is that Nagin still remains these people's lead man. Whether you like that fact or not is inconsequential. I've got an idea. Test your mayor like Nagin was tested. See how he/she does.
  7. I'm glad someone said it. Never mind 3rd world countries how about our own where too many little girls are raped and murdered because some weirdo's can't keep it in their pants. The media conglomerate is wasting millions of dollars by flying their people into Boulder and Thiland and wasting time doing research for one little girl's death. There are far more creepier people out there than John Karr who are much easier to catch and prove their guilt. How about we go after them. All this coverage on one case makes me sick. edit: I don't mean to take away from Ramsey's death. I don't know what I'd do if I lost my own child to murder but I just think the media is wasting their... no our time. I'm sorry I wasted my own to comment about it.
  8. I understand homosexuals about as much as I understand nuclear physics.
  9. My experience with my '95 855: I had nearly all service records 122k miles Car ran great Body had a few small dents (oh well) My experience with my '98 XC: I had no service records and was 1300 miles away 118k miles Car ran great but check engine light came on when first driven through a humid climate (SAS problem) Body had one dent that is nearly unnoticable Conclusion? Through this web site (and others) I have kept up with all of the more common "problems" and service items for both vehicles. They're not magic cars and it sounds like you don't expect them to be. With the mileages you're looking at, either all of the more common problems have been fixed or will about to need to be fixed.
  10. Didn't BBA also try to rebuild ETM units too
  11. He drives an early 90's white, plain, single cab Chevy 1/2 ton pickup. Works at a local nursery/landscaping place until he gets on with the Lubbock fire department. Hopefully we'll can get on together in the same class.
  12. (My moment of silence) Every time I think about it, it makes me feel great reverence. I have a friend who had been discharged at age 21 a year ago with a purple heart. Never brags, never thinks he's greater than anyone else. Wouldn't know it if you didn't see his license plate. Then I think of the guys who got shot or never found enough of them to leave Iraq, Afganistan etc... Men and women just doing their jobs.
  13. I was about to say that attitude makes for a good American, but wait, he's Canadian :o
  14. It's now been passed. Violators will be prosecuted and thrown in jail. +1 for Texas legislature! (I don't say that very often)
