  1. Wow...just found out about this...I should be able to go DARKSIDE/Omar/Brooklyn, NY *Can someone post a mapquest link to this place so that we could all check out how far it is from us...
  2. OK, remind me again why you did this... Just make sure your wheels are properply lined up with the fender...
  3. thanks for the info guys, sorry to thread jack, just thought it would be good if all three of you listed what paint you used in the same thread...
  4. Cicada, RockenR, & Mattphi, what paint did you use... Ex. VHT Nite Shades Spray Paint...what brand?
  5. Okay, what I'll do is get all/most of the info on the turbo, and come back to you all...thnx
  6. I'll find out what size turbine it is, and get back to you... what's the difference when comparing the .63 trubine & the .82... I'm not saying that I would put in on now with the setup that I currently have, I'd probably wait and get a few more stuff done b4 installing the GT30... Also, wouldn't the ARP bolts help keep that head/block together... 4. elaborate... *Again, thnx guys 4 all the info & help so far...
  7. 1. Which is the best option? 5bolt flange or internal WG 2. What # CC's? Will the RC injectors from VMS work? 3. Being w/o my car, will not b a pro, as long as I'm boostin' by the weekend... 4. Stock ECU right now...Although I'm planning on flashing it, but it shouldn't be neccesary unless I want to the ECU to be able to handle the higher boost...*correct me if I'm wrong*
  8. But if I am planning to do internals, then it would be a good choice right? I mean I could always keep the boost to a minimum of like 15 or 17 b4 I do internals, and everything should be ok...
  9. My friend just put this turbo on his EVO, but he's said he'll take it off today. So, it's basically new, b/c he bought it new... Well I currently have rge stock 13G setup so I believe the WG is internal...if not correct me... Stock injectors... My friend (the same guy) actually owns a shop and is definitely able to do any of the work including custom work, and has connection with others who own machine shops...I hope by *tuning* this is what you meant, and not ECU wise... Why would I have to flatten the Exhaust manifold's Lip?
  10. Price: $850 Also, I'll install a MBC, or EBC to controll the boost and I would not turn it up past 17#'s if there's a risk of anything bending... which is better though...Manual or Electronic BC *Remember my car is a a GLT (LPT)
  11. I'm getting it for a fairly decent price... Would this turbo be a good choice for me? What needs to be done to make it fit, and any other nessecary mods? All info is appreciated... Also, any VS'ers with the GT30 installed?
  12. probably doesn't know how to post the pics... send the pics to me at fendi34i@yahoo.com , and I'll post them for you...
  13. Most people don't have to roll their fenders unless their car is lowered to the point where the tires touch the fenders when making a turn. I don't believe it's a DIY job, primarily because I think you need a certain tool to do it. I'd go to a paint/body shop and they should be able to do it for about $100.
  14. Pics look very nice...I don't think the TME would lower it more than about an 1in. So add the koni, springs, and roll the fender just to be safe...
  15. T5shortblock got my vote...
  16. If I remember correctly, aren't the FSD's made to work with only stock springs, not lowering springs? Correct me if I'm wrong...
  17. Schwien, you should've just posted some of the pics of the Koni's... Anyway, if the price is right...then get 'em
  18. Well I'm not sure if the springs for a wagon will fit a sedan...but if they do, the drop won't be as much... remember the wagon is heavier than the sedan... Also, if you didn't buy the HD's yet, go with the KONI's
  19. According to Frank, the intercooler's are the right size, and he hasn't received any other complaints about the EST intercooler's... what can I say... Besides the fact that it doesn't fit, I'm upset b/c I still had to pay the guy for doing all that unneccesary work...
  20. Josh it seems like you have the same problem with your intercooler... After some thought: I think the best solution is to cut (straight down) half of one of the endplates, weld on a piece that just 1/2" wider, and drill the neccesary holes...that should do it... I'm frustrated right now...tired of everything not fitting like it should, after paying sooo much 4 the freakin' part...
  21. Problem is: The intercooler measures 26 3/4" (taking into consideration the endplates), but the radiator measures 27 1/4". So I can't just drill extra holes because the holes on the radiator are basically at the tip of the endplate on the intercooler if that makes any sense...So the only option seems to be to weld a piece on to the one of the endplates on the intercooler.
