Nope. 1st is unedited. The 18-105 Vr has a stupidly small hood. b&w and spei effects hid that pretty well.

Yup.. I was going for that effect.. Sorry, offtopic, but I like this pic so much I have to show I was shooting @ the Drift NC round 3 with a 30d (which died at the end of the first day. .canon guys.. error 99, sounds familiar?) later a 400d and 70-200 F4L. I'm so happy with the result. I got phonecalls and emails just to say how great my pictures are.. I'm that type of guy who never staisfied with his own work so it feels pretty damn good. looks good Greg, except the 2nd one. Blown out background and their bright clothes don't go well for me. I do not like white clothes, I always manage to burn 'em out or underexposure everything else :rolleyes:

Finally I got paid for shooting Friend of mine drifts and asked me to go with him and shoot some pics. It turned out I was signed up as a media photographer with VIP ticket and I was free to go everywhere on the track I'll do the whole season, and my pics will be up on the Hungarian Drift Association homepage. Among with others pictures.. I saw some of them, disapponting, no panning, no correct exposures. There is only 1 guy who made really nice pictures. I even saw a guy with a d200 with sigma 70-200 f2.8 in AUTO mode... seriously pics ^next time I have to be more careful with batch resizing, the quality really went down. I was in hurry and didn't see it until I uploaded all of them :(

let me guess..iso100, F8 or 10 shutter probably 20+ sec, I would do with 30. And I'm pretty sure some kind of wide angle lens 17mm maybe? lets see the EXIF data ohh and it was @ blue hour, judging by the blue sky :)
