The lighting in this one is great. Very simple and focused.
Serge that city shot is great. You've taken a shot there before haven't you? That s-curve in the foreground works perfect.
Practicing rim-lighting.
:D
I tried dodging her face a bit but do not like how it plays with the backlighting. You are right though, a bit of fill flash would have worked well. I should have tried taking the sb600 out. Didn't cross my mind. Next time.
Thank you! I've only had to use the microadjust on my D300.
Yeah, I was too. Since it was a sunrise I decided to upload the color one first. Usually I can decide pretty easily which one I like but this one was tougher.
Thanks Greg. Stayed up all night and drove a total of 9 hours for 2 shots but I think it was worth it. Fall colors up near Superior are at peak. Hopefully I can follow them down all the way south as they change.
Thanks for the the info. I'd love a new monitor but can't justify one right now. Maybe later...
I saw that on FM too. I remember reading about a big film director who bought that lens to be adapted for film use. I think one was on ebay for 20 some thousand a few months ago.
Nice shot too. Cool looking waterfall.
Always cool to see old color photos. The Russian ones from the turn of the century are pretty insane.
