  3. There are threads on this popping up everywhere. I am seeing your comments on Volvospeed/30Forty50/V70R, other sites, Facebook and in private messages. What I think you all need to remember is to not celebrate the death of a man, but celebrate the end of fear and torment he has caused countless people. At the end of the day its not the man we hate, but his actions. Do not let his actions turn us into the very thing we hate. America already has strong devision lines dawn. Let us not deepen those by confusing what we are celebrating. I believe it was Tim Collins who said, "But if you are ferocious in battle remember to be magnanimous in victory".

Well stated and excellent point. The raving and celebrating turns us into them.

  6. Yeah Some insurance companies = not so smart.

When my sister got rear-ended the other guys insurance offered her like $1000 to total out her Malibu, saying it had like was a 98, had 150,000 miles and was a salvage title. It was an 03, Clean title and had like 75,000 on it.

    Alright alright, $1500

  7. Anyone have that pic from Mike (Thelostartof) showing the kit with the parts/seals/gaskets needed when replacing a turbo ? I'm having doubts about what I have. dry.gif

18671 is the copper "gasket" for the oil supply line at the block, 947282 is the copper for the oil supply. water supply and water return banjo fittings on the turbo. I bought these from DW recently for .58 each. I don't remember the gasket for the oil drain (3514546 is it) though. My manifold did not have a metal gasket between the turbo and the manifold, nor did the trubo/downpipe connection either.

nuts are 977209 and studs are 1336261. Oh yeah, 30637866 is the green oring at the bottom of the oil drain line.

  8. Crap, more people with at least half a brain recommending these techniques. Maybe I'll have to give it a try.

    Thanks for the recommendations

Impotent? You're going to the wrong doc.

I'll bet money a Chiro will claim to fix that too!!!

At least a good one would!.

Actually I think they are onto something and really are a value to the medical community.......as long as they know when to send you to the MD or surgeon too. There comes a tim when no amount of twisting will fix what ails you. A good one knows that time.

  9. Why is turbobricks such a crap hole

I listed my Injectors in the for sale... and 2 days later I cannot find the thread at all... I created another one and still gets lost.

They know what a douche you can be and dont like your ass either :lol::lol:

or maybe your injectors already sold and you just dont know about it!

  10. Not my experience. Putting in injectors that are far enough outside the operating window, it cannot compensate & bring the AFR back.

I did get a CEL early on in the day - but that was 0171 - lean condition!

Set the fuel pressure to 40psi. Pulled the intake pipe, checked for vacuum leaks, swapped the MAF, blah, blah, no change.

I replaced the front O2 today - I wasn't sure about the old one - it seemed fine (with the old tune), but is was whacked by the exploding Bevel Gear pinion, so I figured better safe than sorry. It made no difference.

I pulled the NGK plugs, and #3 was fouled. Did a compression test, uniform compression. Put back the Volvo plugs gapped @ .030". Put back the Volvo wires instead of the IPD. Still erratic, but not consistantly so.

I drove around awhile, and it seemed to be settling out to around 14.7-15.2. Did a quick highway run, seemed OK. Got home, and checked under the hood - moved rotated the injectors a touch & almost immediately it started running like crap.

So, I have to check the injector seals & seat. Do you recall whether you seated the injector in the rail at the first slot on the injector, or the 2nd?

    M-9593-LU60.jpg

I'm wondering if I have a leak around the injector in the manifold, either that, or the electrical connectors are flaky; (the ones I bought came with the bosch adaptor plug, says Ford racing on it) & moving the injector was affecting the connector contacts. It's raining now, so I'll have to check all that tomorrow.

In the midst of all this, the small 6842190 elbow hose to the turbo coolant line ruptured, so I had to fix that as well.

Youtube Vid this afternoon/ early evening No boost in first segment, just looking @ AFR's - mid segment I took it up to 20psi - tricky when you're holding the camera 7 driving @ the same time

He went back to Volvo & tweaked my tune to allow richer AFR's (esp. over 4500rpm & higher boost :D

My injector/keeper latched into the groove nearest the oring on the rail end.

  11. If you've never been on an island for longer than a few days, you can't really understand the term "island fever". When you see the hurricane bearing down on you and realize there are only 37 sq miles of ground..... it can be a bit unnerving. (Oahu has more area than that, but 37 miles circumference is the number I think). At any rate, the walls can close in quick.

I spend a lot of time on Parrot Cay in the Turks Caicos Islands. We're talking about 3 miles long and 1/2 mile wide at the widest point, so waaaay smaller than Oahu, but same concept. They've been hounding me to move there but there isnt enough money. They keep upping the number and I keep saying no.

  12. LOL fix MSIE7 problems create MSIE8 problems. I'm still messing with it, but I wanted to at least get the feature sets back

No prob. Thanks for getting the other fixed. A couple extra clicks is no biggie. Damn computers....i really think they;re a fad and will nbever catch on really!
