great collection 11@47!
I see we have another bike tech.
My girlfriend and I just finished up this build:
Don't worry, a proper one speed wheel set's in the future.
We wanted to get her rolling on a budget.

If you want to know how to pick the right saddle then READ THIS!
This man was a bicycle saint.
+1 for Sheldon Brown. Great resource!
here's the latest setup:
42/18 gear
good for hilly areas.
I have a 16 I may go to.
Peace!

It's time for you to get a legitimate track frame.
Yes I do, all my fixed gears have been road conversions.
Been more into cyclocross lately.
How do ya feel about fixed trail riding

Isn't a Talas (that's what it looks like) overkill for a Scalpel?
67mm of travel in the back and minimum 100mm in the front is a rather large difference, right?
It would slacken the head angle though, and make it more of a trail bike.
I have the travel adjusted all the way down. 100mm is't that bad. it rides plush.
Way better than the marzocchi I had on there before.
If I increase the travel any more, yes, you are correct. The angle changes and it feels funky.

Apparently I'm a freak of nature because I was off the charts on their scales.
Get a frame custom built and spec it with carbon Record. That's what you need!

They are Campy, but 170's. I have two sets, maybe willing to sell one.
Those vintage 165's are tough to find and go for like $300.
