  1. That's bullshit! Where the hell is Ted Nugent? Ted for Prez! Huh huh Huh huh...aahhhh my butt and your butt.....yeah yeah..my butt and his butt
  2. Were not bumping, were thread Jilling....just hangin' and chillin'.... around the coffee pot, jingling the change in our pockets. So I vote no more coffee shop's next to V/S cafe' on the strip. Relax ;)
  3. That's why I got married! Except replace the word car in that transcript with Vitamin P and all is good. ;)
  4. Boy did you open up a can of worm's or what?
  5. And everywhere you have been Just kidding ;)
  6. Doesn't KFC have a Hilary package deal? 2 small breasts, 2 fat thighs and one left wing. Oh with coleslaw and mashed taters as well. No gravy though...as all of our elected politicians have sucked that up already!
  7. Man I want in this conversation bad ...however I don't have the time to debate any of this ! I've been turning wrenches as a career since 87. Have seen many changes over the years. Been under the hood of just about everthing from Alpha to O-Vega. I will say workin' a 76 Targa through the gears at 18yrs old chuckin' their Slim Whitman cassette tapes in the back seat after an oil change was pretty banging (cause you gotta check'm hot.) Take note..... whenever installing a Corvair flat six in a bug you need to flip the gear box diff around as the Corvair runs counterclockwise and you will have 5 spd's in reverse. Ralph Nater is alive and possibly harboring money hungary automotive CEO's and engineer's in Argentina with Hitler,Tricky Dick,Hellen Keller,Jim Morrison....not Elvis though IMO, if he was alive, you know darn well he would have come outta hiding when his daughter married Michael Jackson.....Elvis is really dead! Oh forgot too add sorta specialized in Swedish cars since 93.(my certificate of authawinkaty) Honestly, I think BMW and Volvo would make a good merger with the right school of thought and the proper engineering(...wait ...I mean ditch all the faulty programing, nitch the propritery rights crap and hire a Japanesse programer) GM and Saab is a very good merger as far as I'm concerned. They have very good platform right now on the 93 sport sedan but it needs a Saab powerplant and they(GM) just need to stop screwing with it and their stupid 10yr parts obselete school of thought....... just total retardation??? Do the new school engineers and CEO's of these top 500 come to work. Wave their weiners around(thx Charles) and sip coffee in their highrise's everday while humming the Sponge Bob or Lone Ranger theme song? Just so many mistakes on engineering anymore The Jap's have the market cornered in a lot of aspects right now IMO? Just my thought's Yes I'm TWI (typing while intoxicated)....... Violation of Code 9/3, rule book850, chapter S-70, subchapter 240
  8. NICE!!! and welcome...you will have to talk to the boss on that one
  9. I think this should be pinned....Your the boss so I'm not gonna do it
  10. Hell I'll take a t shirt (something in dark blue please, anything else makes my ass look fat?) A few V/S decals would be nice for my cars as well
  11. Your right and I'm sorry I think I have spent many night's after work here myself as quite a few others have ;)
  12. This is kinda what I was looking for? I have been here for 5yrs+ I lurked for awhile. I have been sorta specializing in Swedish cars for 13 yrs . I run my own shop(just me) and my I say I "PAY DEARLY" for information on these cars as an indy and I'm HAPPY to share it. I'm not here to promote my business that's why I use a screen name. I have plenty of clientel YES we were truly blessed with Rich (comes to mind)...... for one he had dealer info. I do not!!! He also put a ton of time into the board doing write-ups,etc. Most techs are paid flat rate. Basically meaning , to take the time to document everything your doing costs you money. I don't know how Rich was paid and I don't care. I'm self employed and not flat rate but I still have to knock these cars out for I have a home to pay for and a family to feed. Automobiles are not my hobby they are my career as like some on this board. However I have agreed to help with the board as time permits for me. I'm not a PC wiz so write-ups can take some time for me personally. (P.S. there are a few new write up's in R&M) Charles now on the other hand has a passion for automobiles(I believe)as most of you do. He has put a MOUNTAIN of time and money into this for you guys that cry about not having any new info so you can save YOUSELF MONEY? That's all good but most of all RESPECT what is there. I personally have been restoring a 150yr old home(for the past 10 yrs) and I can't go to the internet to tell me how to do it with pictures etc." I had to learn on my own" when I got into a snag I posted on a particular old home board and got suggestions and feedback. That is what makes doing what you enjoy fun.... So to sum things up I believe that the few that are here to help are doing it for you guys not for us! So take it in stride and perhaps there will be a write up on something that you need so you do have to pay a guy like me your hard earned money to fix it for you? What do you do for a living?? Perhaps you could do a write up in OT that will save me some $$$ on working with something I enjoy? I'm not trying to be sarcastic just simply stating fact? Regards, David
  13. I'm speechless? I'm sure it will all fall into place. Like anything, changes are made over time. V/S has made several changes over the years and I'm sure will continue to change in the future. ;)
  14. We don't even have that anymore...I remember seeing on the local news a guy had a company's ad tattoo'ed on the back of his neck and I forget how much he was paid for it (total peanuts for living with something for life) Probably paid less than what it would cost to have it removed . Sorry that just caught me funny The ad links do freak me out though. I know you can turn them off but I'm going with 'em like everyone else. Frankly I don't care about them
  15. Blame Canada for windows ......What the hell do you have against canada Charles??
  16. Actually who WAS Mark Foley
  17. Ok back to Mark Foley .....Mel Gibson is looking to make a new movie with Mark as the star! "Saving Ryan's Privates" American politics is a mess Ted Nugent for president (as stated before) What ever happened to Ben Franklin not Ben Dover and John Hancock not John Cockinhand?
  18. B)--> QUOTE(Plan B @ Aug 6 2006, 10:26 AM) ←Why can't we be more like Brazil and not be so dependant on oil I agree....however these boost junkies here would be blowing their motors too pieces with ethanol Sugar cane is excellent for making it but from what I understand corn is a much more extensive and expensive process.
  19. Metal has more strength cold than hot right? You take a piece of exhaust tubing and make it red hot in order to bend it(which is not the proper way anyhow, but using it as an example) try bending the same tubing cold. Same applies to brakes when their hot they become lets say more flexible
  20. Take it out and ride the brakes too make them hot and see if it does it. It may only do it when the brakes are hot giving you that 50% factor. Or else get the car up to 60mph or so and stand on the brakes do that 2 times or so and see if it happens. If so it's probably in the front rotors. Check the rotor thickness min. spec is 23 mm. They may be too thin not allowing the heat to disipate properly. But it sure sounds like a front rotor issue too me ;)
