  1. Hope his family and friends are well, sucks plain and simple, I appreciate the time people contribute here more and more as I get older. Sorry for the loss.
  2. Ahh, so then the gate is very practical and huge benefit to if you can fit full sheets. How nice is that! Do you expect any difficulty or special steps to resister and use on road? I see the bed posts, do you plan for wooden bed floor or similar?
  3. Just like that huh? You have a knack for making it look much easier than it is! Amazing transformation and I love the wagon hatch though not sure if it's that practical but worth it. But really looks like it's coming together well, your planning and layout seems to be perfect.
  4. Wow that's going to be quite the build as far as the body work, going to be neat to watch that come to life. What do you have planned for drivetrain? Redblock or white block? Hey did you get a 240 too? I thought I saw you had one on TB?
  5. This is simply amazing! What a wonderful example of research and hard work paying off in multitude. Your experience and shared knowledge help so many of us. I really appreciate your info on the welded VC, something I've ran for years and loved but also had reservations about but now can have some piece of mind. Maybe one day I can have a trick billet angle gear too, AWD is really soo much better than FWD not even funny and I just love these examples that fly in the face of people neutering their cars, soo many AWDs get sacrificed because people don't understand or appreciate the system but it's really a fine system and I'm so happy you are making fantastic use of it. Also your explanation on your videos regarding the various logged parameters and how they relate to performance bottle necking was excellent, easy to follow and helpful. I've showed this build to my family and friends, an awesome inspiration, great work! And 818awhp, that's what dreams are made of my friend, hope you enjoy the ride!
  6. Very cool build, lots of attention to detail, nice photos and information, thanks very much for sharing. Keep up the good work 👍
  7. Wow, lots of changes since I last read, so sorry about the XC man, I know you have moved on but your wagon still serves as inspiration for many of us. Just wanted to say hi and thank you for all your help and continued contributions to the community.
  8. Do you guys check the ring gap and grind the rings if need be or do you just put them on the pistons as is?
  9. It looks great so far. Do you need special tools to put the rings on the pistons? Any special steps when installing the rods and pistons? Like do you check the ring gap?
  10. Glad to hear you got it smoothed out, I bet it feels better not to worry about that all the time.
  11. I think the consensus is the 2.5 LPT is probably the weakest of the RN motors so I don't think anybody is that surprised it went south with the 20G. Looks like th main problem was the weak stock rods, I have seen a stock 2001 S60 T5 bend its rods too so I think forged are the onyl way to prevent that. The cylinder liner looks slightly cracked, I believe the 2.3L block and shims are gonna help there. I am following this closley as I am starting my own 2.3L build here shortly.
  12. Dang, wasn't expecting to see that! What is the cause and effect between the bent rod and scratched/cracked cylinder, like which happened first, or does it just all happen at once during a particularly hard pull? Amazed it was running so well with that noodled rod.
  13. Nice, what size did the bore end up after boring? Did you have any headwork done?
