i think i phrased that wrong. so a VVT NA head with a VVT intake cam and a normal exhaust cam. will the exhaust cam fit into the spot of a Turbo VVT head. thus getting rid of the VVT completely.
timing belt is a 20min job, add another 10 for the water pump, 5-10 for the tensioner/pully. compressing the tensioner takes about 10-15mins. do it slowly with a vise
just take off the tensioner and slip the belt off.
its easier with the cam locking tool but you can do it without it. just check and triple check the markings if you dont use it.
