i think that hint of wood looks nice on there
-
i doubt they are lighter than my BBS's, however im tired of people hating on the wood in these cars, mine came with the wood interior stock, it looks nice. Volvos are luxury cars, luxo's dont have cf in every single orfice. The knock was nothing against you, i just dont like chrome rims on a car where the only other "chrome" is the badges and the grille.
-
yea i had mine there for a year, and the only thing left was the socket they plugged into, not a good spot for them.
-
go to any auto parts store and ask for bosch copper FR7DC plugs
-
wood is much cooler than your rims

Must be a Top Gear fan....

that's probably one of your problems right there. the BOsch wires are sooooo horrible quality. I had too many problems with the previous two sets I had, but I didn't know any better. I got the Kingsborne wires on, and OH MY GOD, what a difference.
yea i kinda figured, hence i got in on that kingsborne wires too, but mine wont be here until the 31st. I was at Mtn Warfare School when that group buy took place. <_<
-
yea im putting on FR6DC's i think...
-
hey so i went to swap plugs today after doing engine mounts and BAM, ive lost my gapper, so i get to go buy one tomorrow. Also pulled the plug wires, and my sweet kinda new bosch cables showed signs of shitty ness... cyl 2 had this browning to the plastic, awesome, good thing i got in on that wire group buy, too bad they arnt here.
-
that is because no one loved them at little volvos
-
kev- it was at night...almost cold and everything that makes the sparky go spark has less than 10,000 miles on it
-
Good old blow out? Thats what i was thinking, ill switch them out today and let you guys know whats up... recomended gapfor high boost, was it .023?
-
So my rica chip took a vacation but nothing was changed on it (long story) finally got it back in the car with an ebc and bov. So its got some nasty torque down low, but when i push up to 18psi, the afr's are in the 11-12:1 range, and it seems to be pulling timing or something, if i turn down the boost to a modest 16 i dont get the problems. This is a 19t, 18psi rica remap for the 19t and blue injectors.

fix that nasty pipe man, dude, you saw mine.. you know you want to be the only other guy with a sick one off pipe... that fits
-
yea appearently, if you dont take shortcuts, things work
-
i hardly think replaceing all of 6 things constitutes a money pit...
-
i get that much plus change in every gear, ebc
-
they way you worded it was bad then, thats all
-
hey do you have to redo the full 10 next year? Back on topic... yea if that was true, my car should be in about 40 pieces right now, i do that very move every time i come off the throttle
-
with that power to wieght ratio it should be closer to 3.5
-
ya... when your throttle snaps shut at 20+ psi and stock BOV can't dump the pressure you can bend stuff, or your throttle can snap back open due to the pressure and you end up in the ditch or the back of another car. i never said it was the cure all for high boost, just another idem to consider if your running high pressure.... gee whiz save the attitude, everyone's so stuck up around here i think i'm about to ignore all the posts.... well not everyone.
thats the stupidest thing ive ever heard, the only danger you run with a cbv is damaging the turbo, not the engine, sheesh, most of the cbv's on this board are broken and leaking boost anyways.
I run 22 all day on my 19t w/12:1....
-
is there still time to get in on this?
-
change those plugs with volvo coppers
-
2400 lbs.... and 500 hp... 4.8 hp per pound, that thing is going to fly....
