Mine always hung on drivers side so I only ran the proper tension on passengers side. It worked without issue and passed safety every year. I left the shoes on the drivers side but loosened the star adjuster until all tension was off the pads.

I went to there site and was surprised to see the photos of guys wearing them during kettlebell workouts. I use to do my workouts barefoot at home until I broke the bone behind my big toe leaping. It looks like these may have the impact protection I need.

It definitely makes a big difference when you know when to travel.
