Hi Everyone, Quick question-- What are the requirements to post an event on the calendar? Do we need to wait for everything to transfer or is this limited to supporting members? I was trying to post a GGVCOA / SacVCOA event and got this message: "[#1047] You do not have permission to add events to this calendar." Thanks, volvie!

As a newer member to VS, I found this a very interesting thread. And, while I may be misunderstanding the context of this quote, I just wanted to respond in case I am one of the "guilty" parties: Coming from an area that is trying to revive its local VCOA chapter, I've been spending a lot of time on all the various Volvo-related forums I can find so that we can try to better meet the needs of our local community by knowing what the larger Volvo community is interested in. As such, I've come across some threads with questions that I've found answers to on different forums. And, given that I have limited personal technical knowledge about Volvos, I typically respond to these posts with a "I have no personal knowledge about this, but here is something related I've found" type answer. Other times, I've found related discussions on other forums that are also happening here and I add the links to highlight them to provide a wider view of perspectives on the current topic. It has never been my intention to post links from different sites out of disrespect for this site-- it was just my way of trying to contribute and give back because I do appreciate this site and its place in the wider Volvo community. Given that I don't have any technical knowledge to contribute, I mostly spend my time in the other sections (Announcements sections, cosmetic/detailing, for sale, OT, etc.) and I enjoy coming to this site as I enjoy the humor and general goodwill that I usually find here. While I have come across some responses that are rude, argumentative, etc., they are usually followed by others with more positive/helpful advice, so I usually find that everything balances itself out. And, since I am a newer member and haven't experienced the history of this community, all I can say is that while VS may be experiencing some growing pains from newer users with bad attitudes, I find that the main core of users/Volvo enthusiasts are a wonderful reflection of this community and its unique identity.
