  1. The 450x.... I cleaned and completely rebuilt the carb, everything new right to factory specs. It ran mega-lean and like shit at that, I couldn't get it to run right at all let alone stay running. The pipe was glowing red with the choke on, wouldn't idle with it off no matter what and was just generally shitty. So I said fuck it and took it in to a local shop. They spent a few hours dicking around with way different jetting and got it right. It's running richer now, as it should. I rode it up and down the street a few times, I'll probably take it out this weekend.
  2. Half of the churches in the nation couldn't even afford to be taxed. Not all of them are what you see/perceive or what you see with those assholes on TV, most are located in rural areas and are the only lifeline in that area for the poor aside from welfare. My mother runs the food pantry for a Catholic church in an incredibly poor community...the church pays for upkeep and keeping the lights on, the priest volunteers and everything else goes to the poor. There is nothing to tax. Religious institutions aren't telling people how to vote just like unions aren't telling people how to vote. It's an endorsement or suggestion. People vote with what suits them, their lifestyle and what they perceive as issues. Agendas? who the fuck isn't pushing some sort of agenda? If simple shit makes you angry you need to take a long-term vacation from the online world and turn that energy into something else.
  3. I work with a guy that probably works 80 hours or more a week. I always remind him that his wife is more than likely banging other dudes while he's at work 24/7.
  4. Kevin took a break but is now back to stir the pot. Far-left memes on facebook and plenty of free time do that to a person. Religion is one of those things that the far-left have put under attack. I'm not a religious cat by any means these days, but another person's religious preference is none of my business. It's about the same as worrying about how big your neighbor's dick is. I am Catholic by the way, but not practicing. You can't be your own person without coming under attack at this time. Being moderate is the same as being a card-carrying Klan member.
  5. I found this in the trash. It appears to be worth very little so it may go right back out on garbage night.
  6. Both parties have lost their way, both are corrupt and the only thing that separates them are "issues" that they represent. The mainstream media is playing both sides at the same time which essentially is a really shitty puppet show, slanted narratives and completely biased coverage. If I were more religious I would build a large shrine and pray every day that all social media would disappear. Leave the internet for hobbies and buying shit. Our government needs to be completely overhauled with all new rules, etc. I don't know if that's even possible because human nature dictates that individuals are going to exploit anything they can to advance themselves. The people in power surely aren't going to allow any laws to pass blocking the means to their way of life. The sad part is the average guy is only worried about being full, entertained and able to square away his vices and the government knows that.
  7. I haven't ridden it yet, I need the two fuel lines to show up hopefully tomorrow. I know it's 75lbs lighter than the one it's replacing.
  8. 80's tech vs this century. The only negative on the newer hi-po 4-strokes is the amount of proactive maintenance needed and the titanium valves. I don't understand why stainless valves aren't stock, 90% aren't going to see or recognize any benefit from titanium valves. I don't mind working on shit, but hate dicking with valves. I rebuilt the carb on the 450...complete bitch all around from removal to reinstalling it. Broke a fuel line while flushing out the tank, ordered two new lines today so I'll have it running for the weekend. At least I hope so. Valves are IN SPEC, thank god. Gas in the tank was green and the smell was horrifying, the carb got varnished pretty bad. Bought an All Balls rebuild kit and replaced everything in it back to stock lower altitude specs. Would not care to do that again and makes working on my old Xr similar to working on a lawnmower, as in very simple and accessible. All I have left to do is put the tank on, fire it up and change the oil and filter.
  9. I took it out today and put 100 rounds through it. The 2nd round didn't feed but everything after that went through just fine, including the HP's that they say don't work well in it. It's dead accurate up to about 50 yards then drops 2" at about 90 yards. The spring loaded pad at the end of the stock is weird but it's a $260 Hi-Point, so it is what it is. I wanted a Keltec Sub2K for a long time but they aren't out there so I settled on this.
  10. The cam cover has never been off, with luck all I'll have to do is shim as long as everything is okay. Otherwise stainless valves and new springs are going in either now or at some point down the road. It definitely isn't the "set and forget" valves of my XR or EX.
  11. Since nobody else has said it yet... So you refute misinformation and correct it as needed, but you've done nothing in life to make you a respected authority on any subject where your corrections and guidance would be welcome. Everybody that you're arguing with about their religion being "a cult" or whatever has their shit together and is doing great in life. Does their religion have anything to do with that? Who knows and who cares, they just have their shit together. Their religion is their thing, not yours. Meanwhile you regularly complain about the playing field being uneven, the deck is stacked, etc. THAT TIME you spend complaining or worrying about somebody's religious affiliation could be much better spent bettering yourself, like maybe going to school, getting a second job or whatever you need to do to better your situation. Most successful people don't put their energy into anybody's business but their own provided it doesn't effect them. The far-left (yes, that is you) is more of a cult than any religion out there, they've got you thinking you're on a mission to tell everybody else that their thinking is wrong. That doesn't help you one bit, but here you are doing their work of trying to spread the word and "change" peoples thinking. In reality you're wasting your time on internet forums and facebook arguing about some really stupid shit and people are having fun with you. In your mind you are "progressive", or at least that's what they have you believing. Let the dipshits be just that and put your energy into yourself instead. Following that path isn't going to advance you in life one bit. Life before the internet sure was grand, people rarely argued religion because there wasn't an anti-religion push from the far-left, and if people argued politics it wasn't spoon fed from an all-day far-left/right facebook feed.
  12. That's Tits. I'll find out tomorrow, I haven't had it out yet. I've never heard anybody complain about them and people that have them really seem to like them . I bought three 20rd magazines and it came with three 10rd. I'm going to run 115 and 124 through it in ball and HP and see how it does.
  13. 2005 crf450x from Colorado. Little use, probably under 50 hours. Never seen mud or water, it's very clean. Issues.... Hasn't been run since 2009 and has old gas in the tank. Jetted for 9000 feet and needs a battery. So, I need to clean the carb, rejet, get a battery, spark plug and check the valves. Came with a new set of tires uninstalled, trail tech computer uninstalled, aluminum radiator guards/braces, skid plate and some other shit.
  14. I can't get on board with anybody that takes money from George Soros. He doesn't give you money, he gives you directions on what to do. He does't financially back liberal causes, he backs chaos and disorder. He'd make a good villain in a James Bond movie. In my book, Bloomberg is another one that backs liberal causes but not because he's a sweet, caring individual. If you're a filthy rich old man worth billions throwing a few million here and there at different groups that you've personally set up that isn't charity, that's just some calculating shit to benefit yourself or an agenda you are connected with. A guy I work with who is highly educated but incredibly far-left will argue all day about how great those two are but WILL NOT engage in any sort of civil debate as to why they do it. The elites, regardless of affiliation, are all cut from the same cloth. You can take one arguing for civil rights and another arguing for Christian principles but take the "issues" away and they're the same underneath. We aren't going to go back to lynching black people or tying up gay folks to a fence and killing them. BUT...they will try to make all of us believe that to keep things foggy and keep the population occupied.
  15. I picked up this high quality, collectible Hi-point 9mm carbine Thursday night at Cabelas.
  16. Hard Labor? Hard labor is the guy digging out the side of a house with a shovel to waterproof the basement. Most trades guys really aren't really doing any "Hard labor", labor is for the laborers, the trades guys just do what their actual trade is. There's something for everybody and not every job has to be something mainstream. A lot of girls I went to school with sew bulletproof vests at home, they just sit there and sew. There's all types of very obscure/well paying things to do, you just have to seek it out. Sometimes it's an idea or sometimes it just falls in your lap.
  17. Exactly. You gotta have what people need and something that they can't train you in a week or so. People misunderstand trades and think you'll be doing one thing forever, when in reality you can branch off in a few directions in one trade. Shit, there's people out there making $70k/year washing windows and repairing screens. You have to have something that people want and can't create themselves. I know a lot of people that came out of the gutter and are doing very well because they made an effort to improve themselves.
  18. I bought this a month ago, 2015 v-star 950 . I like everything about it except that it too closely resembles a Harley. I wasn't really looking for a new bike but it was leftover so it was a good deal.
  19. It's a progression and it's come to the point where the youngest cats don't give a fuck anymore. The same shit is going down in Detroit right now except here they're targeting rivals toddlers too. Some of it has to do with culture, some of it a total lack of pride in the community and the rest is having a sense of zero options or support. The older guys would target only a specific person and make it a point not to take out anybody else for the sake of the neighborhood. Those guys saw the good in the community/city at one time and respect that. The young ones coming up don't have that and never will, they have no no respect for the community at all or anybody in it for that matter. In a lot of these places the only community figures were preachers, the older guys will respect that, the younger ones will kill them too. Hollywood does do a good job of only promoting the lifestyle and negativity in general all for the sake of money on their end. Old school organized crime and the gangs of today are two different things. The bikers follow the old rules for the most part as do what's left of the old school families.
  20. It wasn't directed at you at all. Discussing is one thing, questioning (challenging) somebody about their faith or foundation of it is another. Kevin (bless his heart) tends to post things that he has seen elsewhere, knows it is provocative and goes with it anyway. He posted another bullshit meme on Facebook yesterday that essentially said all Christians support slavery, racism, bigotry and whatever else. In reality it's a very tiny percentage, but the main goal of it was there for two reasons. 1. Provocation 2. Advance the anti-christian agenda of the far left. He regurgitated it which was the goal of the creator of it. I know plenty of very liberal people that don't participate in any of that nonsense. Mainly the older ones with sense while the younger ones (not all) get all their new info from social media and biased sites INSTEAD of having discussions. Intelligent discussion has taken a back seat to some really fucking stupid memes, pictorials and quotes/articles from people/celebrities that are idiots to begin with.. Social media is for pictures of my dogs and cats.
  21. It goes back to not long ago where everybody knew it was disrespectful to question others beliefs and almost everybody practiced that rule. It was common sense and respect for others. As early as middle school we were told that you don't argue religion or politics as the outcome will never be good. You and I remember that. Social media has changed the rule of common sense in the religion area, it's a daily thing to see the card-carrying types of the far left attacking Christianity, mainly the very evil white Christian male. I was raised Catholic and I have zero issue with it. I also have no issue with what others believe in regardless of what deity or following it may be or even if they are atheist. That is called respect for others and their beliefs. Beliefs are an individual preference as we are all individuals with our own thoughts on different things. To actually question somebody on their religious beliefs is beyond comprehension to me. It's just really fucking disrespectful. Food for thought for those that are into attacking religion.
  22. Kevin...you should consider finding something to do other than read biased information online all day, or at least use some tact and just share those processed thoughts with like-minded people. Even though you said you aren't, you display all the badges of a card-carrying liberal.
  23. All I see is that Kevin's "o-ring" got mangled and blown out. Those OBX clamps suck, even for free.
  24. I was really surprised when I read about that. I can see that not working for a few reasons.
