i've used JB weld on plastic end tanks before, don't get me wrong it will hold. But it was a temporary solution, the Oil that is thrown accumulates where ever there is any kind of crack/depression and it will wear down the plastic. Just seems like you're introducing a point of failure to the system, this is no longer fitting into a cast piece and you're pushing quite a bit of pressure at it. How did the stock solution mount in? was it threaded?
I'm not being critical of your work or your solution it just surprised me this is what people opt to do when swapping intercoolers.
I JB welded a cracked oil pan on a VW years ago...Lets just say it lasted well...Years. I was a lot younger at the time and would never do that again. But It was sold two years after I used and on the pan and who really knows how long it held up for

You should be fine with a 5mm spacer! No longer lugs as well, Like H said

all you have to do with that oring gasket is cover it in oil and MAKE SURE it seats right when you put it back together. Ive done one before and ruined it because it didnt seat right. A little oil to keep it sticky made the job a breeze, Mind you its not an easy part to take off and put on irrc

Well played Sir. Project is coming out great , and that interior job is top notch
-
How did you get your camber like that in the rear. I know its un avoidable for us awd guys, But this is an 850
-
With out a doubt. I have small hands, and i think ts a little difficult for me. Too close to the spring
-
Well it would make sense if the koni's were not engineered length wise for the coils, that the would indeed blow out that fast.
I put my spacer on the bottom. I actually used the spacers from the old IPD drop bolt kit i Used to have. When installing the QA1's you kinda have to figure the mounts on the body on your own.
-
I have the Qa1's and i like them alot over the nivo's. Your koni's did not last long, huh? For the price of them, that just insane
-
Glad to see another one getting Love

Im running the same camber plates. I'd recommend them, plus the give a nice look
-
That defiantly looks like a cut. 10 years in the box, that stainless still looks new, stainless does not rust or break down, this is damaged else wise.
-
please do
yes that's close to what i did last week using a spacer. I learned the hard way it wouldn't tighten down completely. I actually ordered shorter shocks than you did since I'm gonna be running pretty low, but went with QA1 also
You can go pretty dam low with this set up
-
definitely not recommended.
any word on the upper mounting bushings for the rears? did you use the qa1's or stock volvo's?
I Started putting mine in today. I plan on making a thread tomorrow on the install. Ill keep ya posted

They're on Summit Racing for only $159.97 a piece . You'll need the 5" T-bar kit as well.
I haven't had any bounce, even at 1/3rd stiff.
What exactly do you want pictures of? I can take some more when I get the car back on my lift.
What did you do with the top of the shock for mounting?
-
Those Qa1 shocks, what did you do with the top shock mount on the car. Did it fit just fine?
