Any runners or bikers on here have issues with their fat pad on the knees? Also known as Hoffa's Fat Pad. Looks like that is why I am getting my MRI on my knee I had surgery on.

We are looking in Reston and starting to look in Loudoun County (as of this weekend). The tricky part is the commute and finding that sweet spot where it can take you less than an hour to get to the city if I have to work there and then leaving 15 later and taking 1.5 hours. We are going with less of a house so we can still save 15% of our income, she can work part time so we eventually wont have to pay for daycare and also have the flexibility of commuting. I think the majority of people that live where we are looking are not saving that much and not doing well on retirement funds, all things that we are focused on. AT least there is the metro going out to Loudoun, buses and slug lines. I think if I am out the door by 6am I would be fine. We thought about her working full time longer but to be honest, I feel like we would be trading dollars. If we look to start a family in the next year or so day-care would be $1500 a month and residual income from her full time job would not be worth it compared if she worked part time. If she worked full time for another year and no kids then not sure what we are really going to gain from that besides being able to save more? She is eventually going to be going part-time no matter what, so if we buy a 600k house, not sure how much we could get that down if she goes part time and we still have a 3000k mortgage Besides, talking with Ken he said over the next year or so stuff will start heading up in the housing market around here. We want to lock in that 4% now lol

Yup, we are not afraid to spend 20k, but we also want to make sure it is not tacky and hurt the resale value. Some of the houses did not have the space/ability for a 10x10 deck.

Yeah, we will be around here. Her family is here and better opportunities for me for work. Wife is going part time next year so that is the budget we are working with. We have about 3 months so hopefully we will find something. We found a nice house in a great neighborhood but there was no backyard/deck/or anywhere to put a grill.

Nice house. It is a little far out for me (work in Ashburn and soon to be Pentagon also) and far for my wife to get into work (she works in Tysons)

In a new office today. My commute went from 10 ft to 60 miles round trip At least I am teleworking part of the week. It was nice going 3 weeks on a tank of gas

Ha, yeah. I was supposed to have a game yesterday against the runners up in the O30 National Championship but we moved the game. It was 25 degrees and 15 mph winds at kick off. Ground was frozen, no thank you for a scrimmage.

Boom, our team won 4 - 3. Not bad for me being out of soccer for 7 months, my first game back. Played against Jaime Moreno and a number of great players. FUCK my knee hurts! :D

Well, sold my Uncharted 1 and 2 Dual Box Edition for $25... I bought it for $20 Now to find Uncharted 3 for $30 on CL :)
