i dont know about the whole underage drinking thing, but i am 17 and i could drink anytime if i wanted to (although there is the whole parents thing), but i choose not to cause in my mind I think it is more fun to watch the idiot friends drink 40s and laugh at them when they are drunk. my idea of this was further bolstered when me and a bunch of people from my school went to europe over the summer. yes I did have a beer or two when I was there but that was it, because I wasnt in the same mind frame as some of the others in my group which I could tell were going to become alcaholics in their later lives from just they way they treated alcahol when they had free enough access to it. when i saw people like this it made me not want to drink actually. it just has a different affect on each person. I could honestly say that if the drinking age was lower, i would not care all that much because I wouldnt treat it stupidly, I might have a drink or a beer every once and a while but I wouldnt be drinking to get drunk like my idiot friends do, one of which whose older brother is an alcaholic. dont really know where Im going with this but the drinking age only matters to those who drink to get drunk in my mind
