There is only appx 15-18mm gap between Mikes rear tires and fender, a finger just fits in there. 10mm spacers is probably the max to go to be safe. I have some old school universal aluminum 7mm(really 1/4 ")spacers at home that we can play around with.

Cars are almost never finished, they're a work in progress.

Thanks for the offer - I did find one cheap on eBay. There is no such thing as JY access around here, been that way since the late 80's - the EPA took care of that .

Passion Red S40 T5M, rear spoiler, blacked out wheels and lettering, lowered. Was at Wawa Fort Washington Pa across from the Volvo dealer this afternoon.

Did the 37 mile(2,300 ft climbing) ride option of Alex's Lemonade "The Lemon Ride" yesterday. Sram was there with their support Volvo's, and I found my very own street!

2004 Specialized Sequoia Elite, 105 Group, purchase new in Feb. 2005, very comfortable ride for my aging body, I love it!

To add to the washer grinding, we ended up grinding all the way around the washer and took appx .050 off the sides, for a diameter reduction of .100 of an inch in the event that the washer turned upon re-assembly. It seems that the top pigtail on some of the IPD springs is wound a bit too tight, causing it to shift in the spring seat and rub the bumpstop washer. I recommend anyone installing aftermarket springs to check for this.

Nice work, the car looks great. What did you do for rear springs? Also, did you reseal the angle gear yourself?

Yes, we re-sealed the angle gear ourselves.

Also......re-sealed angle gear, re-greased drivers axle cv joint, new brakes, rotors,hoses, parking brake cables and shoes, miscelaenous interior trim pieces, replaced cut right rear seat belt, fixed non working fuel door release, replaced all rubber coolant hoses.......

Funny, when the flatbed driver dropped it in our driveway, he said " what the heck are you going to do with this thing ? " and shook his head.

That engine photo above on the hoist is actually the old one when we pulled it out. Here is the new one about to go in.

I was thinking the same thing about those rims, they are NICE! Propus looking centers with a nice wide outer lip. Enlarged the pic, the center caps say "STR", they almost look like rear drive offset.

Burn-E had posted a link a couple of years ago to a PDF of a Volvo OEM Wheel poster. It shows 72 wheels from appx 1992 to appx 2004 and their names. I have access to the actual printed version of it, and on the back of it is a list of all the wheels, their sizes, and part #. If it helps, I'll scan the list and post it. I think the thread that Burn-E posted the link in is something like "Volvo OEM Wheel Poster"

Hoping to see it at Carlisle! My 16 y/o son and I are planning on going.

I personally like the second photo with the eggcrate and a less chance of something damaging the intercooler.

I guess they aren't that rare then. It must have been a color that had to be special ordered from the factory and wasn't sitting on the dealers lot.

Our store had a new 2000VR in classic red. From what I remember, we traded/sold it to another dealer far away that had it sold.
