  1. Not sure if you’re referring to me or BMAC, but I got the recommendation to increase the rear spring rate from myself... I wasn’t happy with the 450# springs that were included with the Kaplhenke coilover kit so I bought a set of 650# springs that Taras (5x108heavyweight, RusheR) had from his old wagon build. The 650’s effectively eliminated the squat on acceleration and the general weak-rear suspension from the original 450# springs.
  2. Fixed it. Take a different road next time. 😂
  3. Thing sounds angry, glad it’s hookin’ up! Turn it up and hold on for dear life! 😂
  4. It sure doesn’t seem like that awd is functioning properly... I don’t launch my car like that, and I don’t make near the power you do, but when I stand on it in second gear all four tires light up and then it grabs. There is virtually no lag from when the fronts start to slip before the viscous engages and all four spin.
  5. I can attest to the audible burble factor of a Japanifold. I’ve not ran one on my own car, but heard a before and after on a friends car and it was obvious. Might as well see, and then when you’re ready make the jump to a tubular manifold 🤔
  6. Were you running R mani before? Is the japanifold flow improvement a thing? I remember this topic from years back but wasn’t sure if anyone ever saw real improvements? Have you dyno’d your car?
  7. That video is like the car guy equivalent of blue balls. I just wanted to see that throttle released... all over the track’s chin. Had to have been fun. Any more footage?
  8. Your car is immaculate, really sharp! Looks like a nice turnout, too.
  9. That’s just nuts, so stoked for you! There’s so much room to go on your setup, can’t wait to see you turn the wick up, big(ger) numbers to come for sure! Awesome work!
  10. When I look at your engine bae I only see a bowl of spaghetti. JUST joshin’ ya there. Your bay is disgustingly clean, so shut your dang mouth. Your wagon is looking so good, even if I don’t necessarily know if I like roof rails or not. I really vacillate on that topic. But Jesus man, your car is just so nice. 💗
  11. Those spindles tho! Very nice, and as always very great attention to detail in your work and your write-up. You remind of Big Will in that way. Speaking of, where is he? The rotors are awesome. My only nag is that they rust on the untreated surface just where the hat and rotor face meet. It’s just a mil or two and probably nobody notices but me, but I do. All in all they’re fantastic though, and great info about their performance and heat shedding ability. I’ll be interested in your feedback on the pads. I’ve only run Textar semi-metallic, which iPd sells and provided with their old Porsche BBK. I think they’re fantastic. Relatively low dust, no noise except under 4mm pad depth, and great grabbers. Great job Andy!
  12. Your car is stunning, I’d stare at it, too!
  13. Needs more 3” downpipe! 😉 When are putting that bad boy in??
  14. What’s the major planned refresh? Do tell
  15. In all seriousness that blows, at least it appears fixable.
  16. Those wheels are so god damn hot. Wish I had a set.
  17. Nice score, that was fast! Are you going to pull the head off or anything or just drop it in?
  18. That’s a drag Andy, I’m sorry. You’ll be better off in the end, that’s a heap of miles on that engine. Here’s to finding a good, low mileage replacement and good luck!
  19. Looks good, but why's your engine oil dipstick all askew? Hack. Just kidding, looking good as always!
  20. Now we know who is featured in the new "Volvo Wedding" ad spots for the new XC90!
  21. I ran the Hancook Ventus V12's for about 8,000 miles, until they began to rapidly deteriorate. They were great up until then, nice grip, good sidewall firmness, I was just disappointed by how quickly they went... Hopefully you have a better experience! Nice work on the wheels and BBK, looking great Andy! -Brandon
  22. You know, you can be a real jerk, Will. Here I was, enjoying a 3-day weekend, having a beer, watching my boys play in the yard... And then I see this. And now I am reminded of exactly what I've been putting off thinking about for years. Seriously, everyone on this forum owes you a frosty cold pint of beer. Tremendously concise, thorough explanation and breakdown of the rear suspension bushings. Above and beyond with the part numbers and application cross-over information you provided. When I'm back at work next week I'll see what I can do about tracking down some of the missing mystery pieces and also do my best to inquire about working with our vendors in regard to poly substitutes. Awesome work, and thanks for the inspiration to tackle a not very fun job. I equate it to the friend who encourages you to have your prostate examined... You know you've been meaning to do it, but is not anything you've been looking forward to. :)
