  1. Got her prepped and ready for my spring break road trip to Colorado with some friends from school. We had all discussed in February how much we wanted to go hiking and camping in the mountains and I volunteered to drive. So that was that and we headed out on the 18th. Replaced control arm, changed oil, got an alignment. Wagon drove beautifully. Had a few close calls with the two trailered trucks, they clearly just don't see me even after I assert myself and show them I am passing by moving out of their blind spot. Either way, I will have to watch out going to Carlisle cause they seem to want to run me off the road... About 100 miles from Denver, oil on the right side of the engine by the oil cooler under the timing cover. Not a ton but I had lost about a half a quart during the 700 miles I had already driven. Preliminary guess was oil filter or oil drain plug, check them and they were kosher. picked up some oil and topped it off. Drove into Denver and no leak and hadn't lost any oil at all, very odd. Got into Denver, parked at the hotel and got into the rooms, and headed out on the light rail to see downtown! Next day met up with Aaron. All I can say is what a guy. Such a hospitable dude, opened up his garage to my car and I to do some tuning! We traced my air leak to my PTC grommet and the boost issue to a non-functioning BCS. Oil leak seemed to be coming from the exhaust cam after further investigation at the hotel. This was great that we found the issues, unfortunately we didn't get to tune, sorry Aaron Then for the next 3 days we camped in the Golden Gate State Park backcountry. What an experience! Parked in the lot at the base of the mountain and hiked 2.5miles to the campsite. promptly built a fire and gathered supplies for our stay. After the backcountry adventure we went to Golden, CO to get some fresh beer at the Coors brewery! Colorado Native, only served in CO, I'd move there just for that beer. Then headed back after that, car drove great, just have to get a new BCS, delete or fix my PTC and do a cam seal (this one will suck). Here are some pics! Little Man Ice Cream Zac likes the wagon Best Calzone I've ever had Hey Aaron! Breakfast Burritos will never be the same unless I can go back to Sam's In Golden! the mountain roads here are absolutely nuts. In the lot getting ready for our hike to the campsite So many cycling shops and even a statue! (All three of us are cycling nuts) Bought this Ended the night in Golden. Had a great time and will be staying for good when I go back
  2. I would have to agree with all the above. Same thing happened to my control arm.
  3. Jon literally has nothing else to do than troll the internet. Be proud sir. I often wonder if you even own a Volvo anymore and instead just sit around here starting pissing matches with every single passerby. Alden, that meme...
  4. Sorry Michael! Cause I'm totally into myself and think the world revolves around me, definitely you know me all to well. Maybe I took it as a response to mine when it was to others, in that regard. Yes I was incorrect. You do know that Illinois and Wisconsin are two separate states correct? You almost got away with it you sneaky butt-hole.
  5. Not anger Alden. Just jackassery. More so directed toward Jon and his hater picture and Howard for calling me out about what he thought my edit was, not directed toward you... today.
  6. Metaphor-n. A figure of speech in which a word or phrase is applied to an object or action to which it is not literally applicable.
  7. Edited it last night to correct spelling of his name. shut up Howard I don't give a shit about negatives on a forum.
  8. Just love getting negg'd for my opinion. VS
  9. Sorry but talking down and pointing out a degree as useless as you did is not the way to start a conversation so I have no idea how you thought that was a good idea. And I haven't replied to anything you've said in the past because I was not going to waste my time, but when you quoted what I said and deliberately called out my major as 'pointless', I'm not going to just sit here and not say anything. Oh and the disclaimer? Yea that wasn't meant for anyone on this forum, it was meant to remind myself that this is the internet, it also adds a bit of humor to an otherwise serious comment, I don't care what anyone thinks of my views or thoughts, especially you.
  10. First and foremost, instead of coming back and cursing you out in the usual bro-tastic forum fashion for being a totally ignorant human being, I am going to handle it differently. 1. Arduous (adj.) - "involving or requiring strenuous effort; difficult and tiring." With my college education, I would say this applies to an air traffic controller, but it is true, I am just a Psychology major. 2. Agreed that a career in Psychology is tough to apply when the positions titled 'Psychologist' will require a masters and PhD education. Getting a degree in Psychology though is not a terrible thing when you are looking to pursue something out of the realm of practicing psychology. I am going to pursue Physical Therapy school. Instead of taking the Exercise Science route of a undergraduate degree I am choosing to study Psychology due to the nature of this major having a well rounded bachelors of science curriculum, as well as my enjoyment of studying the mind. 3. So proceed onward Alden, going through this forum tearing through people, questioning everything and telling people what is correct according to you. Maybe if you sat down and thought about keeping your mouth shut instead of assuming that you know everything about... everything, maybe you wouldn't make such an ass out of yourself, quite literally, in anything you talk about on this forum. Disclaimer: Yes I know this is the internet, and yes I know this is not real life, hence why I handled it in the above fashion.
  11. To go off what Mike already said about suicide as well, having to relocate each time there is more of a 'need' sounds like quite a downer, hence why the hourly rate is so high, $60 is pretty good if you don't care where you live. You sure are. I'm going to go with this not being the answer to why controllers kill themselves. It is the long and arduous work hours, having to relocate at a moments notice, and the specific times of shifts they are expected to work. These combined cause for suicidal attempts (successful or unsuccessful). Source: I am a Psych Major
  12. I am custom tuning no worries, I am also a fan of airing on the side of caution all things car related.... except for my rn/manual swap in 2 days
  13. Saw this as well. Is it a 'plug and play' or are modifications needed to be done? Whoops, Greg answered that for me
  14. Sent you a PM on your shifter design, did you receive it?
  15. I will be switching carriers and am going to go with the Z3 as well. My phone is very very old, glitchy, and has no space, much like Jon's. I have always had Motorola but I figure I can take a leap to another maker to see what other things are out there, and Sony really did a great job with the phone on the things I have read and seen.
  16. so what does 3 golden monkeys and 7 rolling rocks equal... drunk
  17. Looks great dude! As a future endeavor I need to paint my car as well so this gives me drive to do it.
