Honestly in that price range, just go to a couple of local bike shops and see what they have to offer. Any of the major brands Like Trek, Specialized,Giant etc will have almost identical offerings. I would look to see if there are any sales on last years models as well. Try a couple out too, see how they fit and feel. After looking maybe post a couple models you are looking at and I can offer some suggestions. Or just text me from the shop.. Fairdale has a couple of "Commuter" type bikes that are nice too. Emma has one and it is a good bike for it intended use.

The sedan trunk is wider so it looks kind of silly with the gaps on either side. And its a sedan, so it looks silly with that spoiler anyway You can mount one though.

This is nothing new. You could buy electric and vac. Controlled setups from Summit etc for years. I remember a kid in my highschool auto shop in the 80s fucking around with solenoid flappers. Yep. Tube depot used then before Proper assembly is very important.. Supply wires near signal wires will creat so much noise. Need a variac to bring voltages up properly. the big caps in a tube amp can kill you too.
