  1. Send him a message on Blackberry messenger.. find out where he is
  2. Rich did the M3 injectors. Very easy to deal with. Id use him again.
  3. That E36 weight is off.. Mine weighed in at 3128 with ~ 1/3 tank of fuel last time it was on a scale. That's with a full interior Get a LSD for that 330..
  4. The best description of bmw evolution ever.
  5. The K car was Iaccocas baby for Chrysler.. Until the minivan..
  6. Not at all related. The Reliant is the K-body. (Hence "K" car) and the Omni/Hirizon is the "L" body. The L bodies borrowed from Simca and the VW Mk1 (even used VW engines and Trans for a while) K cars suck ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD the L actually handled ok and some were actually fast.. Im a Gold member and the word filter is in effect? What the monkey?
  7. Got the Pike on. Love it so far. Everything I've heard seems to be true. Have some tokens on order to tune it a bit, but it seems almost perfect. Granted it was a short wussy ride but I know enough about the feel of a fork that I can tell.
  8. A lot of everyday MTB guys are not much different than BMX guys.. and they wear jeans and never a helmet. There's some insane (as in skill) riders at Rays who only wear a helmet because they have to there. I liked that Manitou. Always felt decent to me. Easy to work on too
  9. Yep. Since 2005. snapped that fucker right off in a bike accident. Only took me about 8 weeks to recover... But I've sorta lightened up since. Don't want to break the fake one out of where it joins to the femur good luck with yours. It's a painful few days after surgery.
  10. Shit I got my first MTB in 1987. Ross Mt Hood. started working part time in bike shops in late 80s.. Then almost all of the 90s spend managing 2 different shops. Did part time as a messenger in the early 90s and full time as a messenger from 2000-2006 (while working part time in 3 different shops.. while I was at the shop in Ithaca from 96-2000 I taught MTB skills to Cornell cycling team riders every other Wednesday and did a Sunday training ride/lessons every week.. Never raced XC.. Always rode in the Washington/British Columbia freeride style, just came natural since I was into BMX and dirt bikes too. Yeah ive been into it a while.. I'm not as crazy now that I am old and have a titanium hip and have broken many other bones.. Haha Yeah the WB fork was like $699 my cost in the late 90s I had it for a month or 2 and sold it for more than I paid. Couldn't justify it with my daughter being born that year.. Marzochi up until recently was a good company. Heavy, but quality ride and build. Recently became all Asian made as far as I know. The good Italian 66s are mostly in Canada and can be bought used for a good price. ever ride a DT? or an X-Fusion?
  11. Try the Deoxit, that stuff is important for vintage audio. If it doesn't work for your uneven output, it could be bad output transistors too.
  12. Yeah.. A smooth fork that is 100% user serviceable with readily available parts (that are cheap) sucks... I've used em all.. Fox: owned 6 or 7.. feel pretty good 36 RC2 Van was the best, but really heavy.. RLC is ok. CTD sucks, service interval sucks, FIT rebuild isn't easy at all. Manitou. (Sold my RS1 to buy an EFC IN 1994) also owned a lot... ??? I don't even know what the hells up with them anymore. They've had some winners(SX Ti and Black) and losers. BOS: expensive, but light.. Marzocchi. The Italian forks were always good. Heavy, but smooth and good quality. RockShox. I've owned so many and have mostly been happy (for the time) RS1, Mag21, original JudySL, the first Judy XL dual crown, early Boxxer (on an M1), SID (3 different ones), Reba 100mm, Lyric, and soon the newest Pike. Sure the earliest ones suck now, but at the time they were good. Though the EFC was way better than the RS1.. A good thing with RS.. Turner era, pre-SRAM, and now is the warranty and the serviceability. They would send parts no question if there was an issue. And rebuilds are easy and cheap. Anything else SRAM I don't care for except 8speed grip shift XRays.. White Brothers: made me cool because I had one. ZZYZX.. Expensive at the time. 38mm stanchions in 97.. Baller. Keep in mind the mid 90s were a dark time for forks. Elastomer with leaky cartridges were the norm. Marzocchi was the coil and oil King. Then came Boxxer for DH and SID for XC. By 2003 Fox jumped in and it was all air and oil.. or for DH/FR, coil/oil. There's my history And opinions on mtb front suspension.
  13. There's always NAD 3020 family amps on eBay.. Early BEE amps had phono but they're more rare. My 3225pe powers my Vandersteens very well. (Eventually I'll add a 100watt power envelope amp when I find a good deal and use the integrated as a pre)
  14. Look for NAD 3020, 3225, or any NAD integrated with a PE or BEE after it as well. Theyre very reasonably priced and sound great. The 3020 and 3225 have amazing Phono circuits..
  15. Tired of the Fox Koolaid.. Going back to RS for a while: Ordered one today. Sold my 2014 Fox Float
  16. Michelin Pilot supersports or Bridgestone RE-11A
  17. Not necessarily the physical records. Most albums have been remastered when re-released on cd. I think youre used to the remastered digital editions. By the 80s records were being phased out.. And in my opinion a lot of 80s recordings sucked anyway.. Maybe due to new technology and tastes. (Remember And Justice for All was recorded with the bass levels almost non existent) But there is stuff from the 80s still sounds ok to me on vinyl.
  18. You need to Take into account your fork.. Is it standard qr or is it a 15/20mm thru axle. If your running a thru axle the upright mount is the easy way to go.
  19. The RaceFace narrow-wide has tooth profiles that allow a single ring in front with no chain guides.. And it works.
  20. That front chainring is the shit.
  21. It's a brand new "take off" 2014 Fox float 32 RLC (not the ctd!) 150mm travel with compression and rebound adjust, 15mm axle, Kashima coat, tapered steerer at 202mm. In brand new condition.. I installed it and rode it about 10 mostly path miles.. And decided the bike it was on was too small. Now I have the intense I want a 36MM VAN. I'd like $250ish for it..
